We recently used Bubble Construction to convert our separate kitchen and dining rooms into an open kitchen-diner and to complete a loft conversion.We were very impressed with how professional Steve's approach was from start to finish. He supplied us with a detailed quote and was very clear regarding potential overspends. He also assited us in deciding on options that fitted our budget, but still allowed us to have the top quality finished we wanted. Due to our home being an older property, it threw up a few surprises and challenges for Steve and his team. These were all managed very well and Steve kept us informed of the reason for additional work and additional costs throughout, which prevented us having an unexpected bill at the end of the project.Steve and his team (Darren, Stuart, Phil and Ryan) were punctual, hard working, and had an excellent eye for detail and quality finish. They were very respectful of our family and our home.We are very happy with our new Kitchen and loft conversion and would recommend Steve and the Bubble construction team to anyone.

We decide through lockdown to go ahead with a 2 story extension to our house and received many different quotes etc from local builders. From the first instant I met Steve he understood me and the job, and put my worries at ease. We had never done anything like this before and would do it again over and over again thanks to Steve and his team.The boys worked all day everyday, turned up without fail at 8 o clock. They were friendly and professional, I felt comfortable with the children being there.Steve guided us through all the different decisions and we took on board any advice at any stage. He kept us up to date and preempted and shortages in supplies as the covid situation developed. The whole thing was completed within16 weeks , which was remarkable through a tough winter and covid.The house is lush, and just as we had hoped it would be, and that is truly thanks to the hard work of all the team and their understanding of our needs and wishes.It was an absolute pleasure to work with Steve and the team, and sometimes I still pinch myself that it was so easy. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is thinking of taking on such a project.

Choosing a builder is a frightening task but having seen Bubble build a dorma extension for a neighbour the summer before and a large annex on another friend’s house, we had some pretty reliable advice that the company would deliver efficiently and with integrity.As both the neighbour and friend had told me to expect, Steve’s approach during the quotation process was immediately more thorough and diligent than any of the other builders we’d spoken to. He took pictures of everything, spotted significant queries in our drawings, and was warm, frank and realistic about which parts of the project he thought we should prioritise. The quote didn’t come until Steve had asked us lots of questions about details as tight as which type of differing skirting board to replicate from the two rooms that were to be knocked into one. When the figures arrived and were within our budget, we were very quick to realise this was a company we had confidence in.Steve kept in touch regularly to support completion of planning, some gas-pipe issues and other preparation and also confirmed Bubble could construct our gable, balcony and interior reconfiguration without the expensive technical second round of drawings, which of course saved us a whack immediately, if it didn’t leave the architect a little bemused! At no point was this an issue for any of the highly-skilled and experienced tradespeople who took on the various stages of the project. They knew what to do and built everything as we wanted. Steve phoned to say they were a week away from starting at pretty much the exact date he’d estimated months before, and as the build progressed the weekly instalments steadily and reliably approached the exact figure we’d been quoted. Where there were changes to the costs, we were clearly shown in advance and offered options and decisions. No build is without these hiccups, and where they happened – poor existing drainage and wiring systems which it was recommended we upgrade, changing a window-frame, a larger RSJ needed than first guessed – the additional costs were always at the modest end of what we’d braced ourselves for.The staff who work for Bubble are all very pleasant and good with kids (we didn’t move out). They were careful to tidy every day, and were always on site and working hard. As a result, the build went entirely to schedule, and before long we were down to only the ‘snagging list’. Steve was quick and clear that where anything wasn’t right, he’d make sure it was sorted before signing off. This was done without fail. I’ve been told that getting builders back for snags is traditionally a real challenge, but with Bubble the snags were all done in a matter of days. Steve came to personally walk around everything with us before we made the final payment – whereupon his pen-and-paper tracking of the add-ons was identical to my spreadsheet, and he even explained that reusing a window and a few other clever moves had even saved a bit. Again, there was a real sense of integrity to this crucial final exchange, too.To summarise, we were very happy with every stage of Bubble’s work, and how they went about it. Like our neighbour and the friend who’d used Bubble, we found a builder who pretty much came on the day they said they’d come, took as long as they’d guessed they’d take, and cost exactly what they said they’d cost. What can be better than that?As I have told Steve, I am more than happy for future prospective Bubble customers to contact me through him and to visit our house to see what the company did here and ask questions. In the meantime, I’d simply say if you can get onto Bubble’s itinerary, you should!

We had Bubble Construction to fit a new kitchen and utility room. This entailed removing a wall, new electrics, plumbing, plastering and carpentry work. All of the team that worked at the house were brilliant and completed the job on time and to our satisfaction. We were kept informed at every stage by Steve. I would have no hesitation in recommending Bubble Construction and his team to complete any job. Infact we have recommended them to several friends and family, some have all ready contracted Bubble Construction to carry out work.

We highly recommend Steve and the team at Bubble Construction. They are very professional, punctual and personable, and their level of work has been of the highest standard. To date we've used them 4 times for a variety of different jobs from a dorma window, electrical work, plastering, plumbing, floor tiling and cabinet fitting and have already booked them for our next project! We had a vision for what we required and on each occasion they have delivered beyond our expectations.

Bubble construction have recently completed a full refurbishment of our house. They literally took it back to the foundations in some parts and put it back together. In summary, they knocked down walls, put walls back up, installed underfloor heating, installed a new boiler & radiators, updated electrics, fitted 2 bathrooms & a cloakroom, fitted new doors and windows, including bifold doors, internal doors & external doors. The main works took 5 months, but given the vast scale of the job, snaggings were inevitable and Steve or one of his team have been back and forth a number of times to ensure things are right.We had a good “feeling” about Steve when we first met him and we certainly weren’t disappointed. He was very professional and always communicated openly with us, explaining different options and advising us honestly. Given the scale of the job, unexpected surprises inevitably cropped up along the way e.g. significant cracks in the internal brickwork that required meticulous repair including stitching and bonding, a descintegrating lintel above one of the windows, a precarious chimney that hadn’t been identified previously, to name but a few. Each time Steve would discuss the issue with us and advise the best course of action considering safety, aesthetics and budget.Steve is very knowledgeable in his field, however, he will also admit when he doesn’t know something and will carry out his own research to ensure he gives the customer the right information. As the customer this was very reassuring and further confirmed our trust in him.Steve has a high regard for the quality of work he and his team produce. He has returned on 2 occasions since completing the job due to his dissatisfaction with the way something fitted. This was never as a result of his teams poor work but more the product itself, however, Steve was determined to get it right for us and has persevered to achieve this.The team that Steve has working for him are skilled and very hard working. Given the time taken on the job and the scale of it, the neighbours often commented on their dedication, punctuality and tidiness.Undeniably, this has been the most stressful thing we have ever done. However, we are delighted with the end result and would highly recommend Bubble Construction.

We have recently renovated half our garage into a home office with Bubble construction. We have been impressed with Steve and his team from the day we met them. Builders that actually turn up when they agree to and keep you informed of developments throughout the project. The whole team are great, skilled workers who take pride in their work and a joy to have around. We are really pleased with our finished office which was completed in line with building regs so is super insulated and warm! All the work Bubble construction have done has been completed to a high standard, we would highly recommend them.

After receiving a detailed quote from Steve at Bubble Constructionwe decided to proceed with our complete bathroom refurb.The first 2 days consisted of a two man team doing removaland prep work,after that apart from the electrics all the work wascarried out by one of the team,Tony.We found Steve and his team veryprofessional,easy going and approachable and are delighted withthe results.We would not hesitate to use Bubble Construction againand highly recommend them.

After having problems with multiple builders we were ready to give up on our extension in Tondu. This is a single story extension to replace a conservatory which was never finished.We decided to have 1 last look for quotes and we were recommended Bubble construction through friends of friends.We were obviously apprehensive due to the previous issues (1 builder even started but went awol after paying him a good amount) but after providing a decent price and Steve explaining a few building requirements which none of the other builders picked up on I thought this could be a different experience to the last.Steve and his guys were all punctual, turned up on time everyday and never left early. They all were polite, have good experience and worked hard.Steve would give us updates on progress each week which was a nice touch.There was a few minor changes along the way which was no problem for Bubble.I sourced reclaimed stone to match the existing house and Steve the stone mason took ownership of laying these with a perfectionist finish.Building control were kept informed along the way and Paul from BCBC building control commented on how these builders appear to be the real deal based on conversations he had.Our extension is now complete, and we are over the moon with it.Highly recommend Bubble Construction, I will be sure to use them again.

Steve and his team at Bubble Construction recently completed a wonderful kitchen extension to our home. This obviously involved all the trades which are completed by his team.Steve is extremely reliable and a very good communicator. He will keep you updated on your project every step of the way. Steve was very patient while listening to my many, many ideas!I can't fault any of his team that worked at our home, they were great, helpful with any questions, well mannered and professional.They arrived on time, every day, and left at the end of their working day. Work was finished on time to a high standard.I would highly recommend Steve and his team.
