Pets at Home Barnsley

Since the refurbishment, all the prices are more than at tesco and I found the staff very slow to serve. I used to shop here weekly but due to stock limitations (and price) I no longer use this store. That personal touch they had, has gone. But there is ample parking.

I am a first time gold fish owner and went to this establishment to obtain a water tank and filter pump filtration and also gravel toy's and fish food.The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about my Pacific topic and very helpful with tips on owning my own fish and fish care and wellbeing.I personally bought a tank that came with a filter and gravel and some plastic plants for the tank including fish food for cold water fish.This is a good place for all things animals not just fish and the staff seem to be very caring and concerned about animals in general.There are four lanes full of all sorts of different animal needs foods toy's everything and then some.I recommend this shop it has everything for all animals.Parking is spacious and it is on a retail park so there are other shops that you can also visit whilst you are there such as Tesco,Mapplin,p.c currys and pound land amongst other shops.

Just had phone call from the groom room 6pm asking for a deposit for the appointment 9am the next day. I couldnt pay as i hadnt got my card on me so she refused to hold the space and was extremely rude, in the past theyve just let us turn up without deposit as weve never let them down.We've used many times before but never again I think this young girl needs a lesson in manners and training in customer service. Reading reviews this is not a new thing let's hope she's sacked before ruining the groom room totally. We will never use again.

I went in 30 minutes before closing time and was made to feel completely unwelcome from entering the storeat Barnsley. At one point the comment ' we've all got homes to go to' was made, despite not being close to closing. I purchased some fish and was out if the store by 5 minutes before closing. The manager was the one making rude comments.Didn't realise that the shop is completely unwilling to have customers for the final half and hour. maybe they should just shut then.

Nice shop. Always got what you need when you go in, and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Got my hamster from this Pets at Home store and he was a healthy little fellow. I've found the staff to be knowledgeable on the animals and fish that they have and have always been helpful and checked that you have the right setups before they allow you to buy an animal.They have a decent range of products but I think the cages for rodents let them down especially for the hamsters. I find them to be too small and I decided to source my own online. The toys, food and other products have always been a decent range howeverStaff are always super friendly when your their and seem to really enjoy their jobs which is nice to see.

A good retail park location and parking facilities.Pets at home in Barnsley has a great range of quality pet products and pet foods of a wide range of dietary needs .

Not the cheapest place and a little slow on the till but the staff are friendly enough. I wanted dog shampoo and was shown a shelf with 50+on it. Too much choice now(if that's possible).
