Smith Barbershop

I have been here 5 times and got my hair cut nicely twice thus 2 stars. But the last time was a total misunderstanding and disaster. Guy with tattoos gave a haircut that was on a level below acceptable. This person should never touch scissors or anything related to hair. I had to visit another barber to fix whatever he done to my hair. I advise everyone to avoid this place for the sake of your hairstyle.

I take my 5 year old here all the time and find the staff chatty and my son's hair is always spot on and what I asked for. Today I took my youngest who is 4 and has autism in I was really apprehensive as he hates anyone touching his hair/ears. The young lad with the curly hair was brilliant, superfast and really patient given the fact my son was screaming, moving and totally freaking out. The lad just got on with it. And the bairns hair looked lovely. The only problem I had was he talks so quiet you can barely hear him although my son was on top volume so I could barely hear myself speak either. The lads not chatty but that's fine, today I wanted a haircut not a conversation. The Lasses who work there are all chatty and I always have a good natter with them while they do the bairns hair. I love the style of the shop it's old fashioned but modern. Always clean and I think all the staff are lovely

Extremely rude and impatient. I placed my glasses on her scissors before I sat down and got scolded by her. Followed by asking me frustratingly how I wanted my hair cut. Which wasn’t even done according to how I said it.Pay a few quid more to avoid being treated like scum.Will avoid at all cost.

Guy with tattoos was incredibly rude! I don’t expect everyone to be super chatty but just a smile or some kind of acknowledgment would be decent. You’re working in a customer environment after all. Also, the only time he did talk, after he’d finished doing my son’s hair and he was stood round the corner, was insulting someone with disgusting language! In hindsight maybe it was good that he kept his foul mouth shut after all.The ladies in there seemed nice, such a shame really. I really think the management need to rethink about keeping this guy on. Having read lots of other similar reviews about the same bloke I’m shocked no one has pulled him up about his attitude yet. We won’t be back I’m afraid.

Terrible hair cuts and even more terrible service, the guy who has cut my hair the last 2 times completely did not speak to me and even had his earphones in at one point. Additionally, the first time I went he short-changed me and the second time has taken a chunk out of my hair at the back! Will definitely not be returning and informing my friends to do the same.

I've been using this barbers for years and always been charged a different price every time for the same cut.I think the staff have changed recently and I went there today.I was scalped down one side as the lad who cut me was too busy chatting with his mate to notice, his work station was filthy with hair everywhere.I definitely won't be back until changes are made.

Been twice and 2 of the worst haircuts I have ever had. Awful Barbershop.

MOST AGGRESSIVE BARBER EVER. Most barbers here are great but today a ginger, bearded guy gave me the worst service ever. I asked for a number 4 on back and sides and trim on the top. He had a generally rude demeanour and began shaving my head ridiculously fast and hard, to the point my ears were all red. I have naturally curly hair and barbers usually spray it with water to get it straight but he didn't bother. He just started grabbing pieces and chopping them haphazardly, seemingly until he got bored. If he was any more aggressive then I would be forced to call the police. I have had good haircuts here before, but if you go in and see this man DO NOT LET HIM NEAR YOUR HAIR.

I get my hair cut here every 2 weeks, great staff, Lewis (tattoos and curly hair) who cuts my hair always does an excellent job takes his time with attention to detail, always polite staff and easy to get on with which is what you want at your barbers, wouldn't go anywhere else! 5 stars!

Literally rudest man ever. I was a frequent customer to this barbers but after today not anymore. The guy with red/gingerish hair is the most abrupt and rude person ever. His whole attitude stunk. The ladies in this shop are amazing but that guy completely put me off and I won’t be returning. ‘What do you want’ was his first response to me and then he was so rough with my hair. I then asked for somethin things to be done on my hair which previously the ladies had no problem doing. His response was ‘well I’ll start again then shall i’ I have never been so embarrassed in my life. I also work in a customer environment and if I was to speak to them the way he was to me today I’d have been severely disciplined. Will be reporting this guy. I’ve literally never had a worse experience. He seemed to chirp up when I mentioned his attitude so he was probably scared I’d complain.
