The Conservatory Restaurant at The Melbreak Hotel

Came here for Valentine's Day and wasn't disappointed. Very welcoming staff who were also efficient and friendly. While you don't come here expecting cheap food and drink, I felt the prices for quality were very reasonable. The hotel itself is very lovely and far enough away from the main road for traffic to not be a distraction.The Cocktails were perfect as was all the food. The portions were just on the right side of being haute cuisine (which isn't filling!) and so, after three courses, we were nicely full - just!Price for two, with lots of drinks and three courses (starter and pudding shared) came to £94.

Found it pricey for the quality of food, I got the prawn pad Thai and everything was well overcooked, I did ask for some olives while I waited but the waitress never came back with them, I wouldn't return here, oilys down the road would have been a lot better shout.

Little gem of a place. Stayed whilst working in the area. Quality food and priced fairly. Look forward to going back.

Everything is just delicious. From the Cumbrian classic dish with a twist to the Asian remake, everything was perfect. The service is perfect and friendly.I rarely take pictures of my food but it was too cute and even more delicious.And for the Americans who are looking for a brownie, they know how to make a good and tasty one.

We had a beautiful meal in the conservatory last night. The food was superb, and the staff waited on attentively.I haven't been for years, but well worth a visit. Thank you.
