The original owner is back after 16 years after selling up. This gentleman was very helpful all those years gone past, now in a bigger premises his experience and knowledge will be welcomed in the shooting fraternity.

Sell new stuff , but has excellent range of used stuff from rugs , tack , boots , clothing etc , worth a visit if new stuff is out of budget , I get my horses rugs from here as they end up ripping them so I refuse to my them new

I have just been to the old barn shop to replace my hat after a fall at a XC competition. I was really impressed with the selection of hats available and the professional fitting service. I have come away with a comfortable well fitting hat that meets all the latest safety standards. I would highly recommend the hat fitting service, excellent customer service.

Really nice shop. Great Service and good prices too. Really impressed and cant fault the place. Been here 8 or 9 times and everytime the owner is really helpful and accomadating. Even fixed my gun for a bargain price. Highly Recommended

my family have shopped at the Old Barn Shop for the last 25 years and have always found the shop excellent in everyway. I recently fell off my pony and needed a new hat and a new canister for my air jacket. I found the staff very helpful in giving me the correct size canister for my air jacket and expertly fitting a new hat. I found there was a big choice of makes and luckily a very reasonably priced hat was the best fit after the lady ajusted the lace at the back and the length of the chin strap. Great to have such knowlegable and helpful staff at our local shop.

Bought a new pair of wellies from here and also had an air pistol repaired.. They have done a cracking job. A great selection of clothing and extremely helpful people.In these current times it difficult to find shops like these which have so much variety and services. Something here for everyone.. five stars.Dave

I’ve been coming here (and the previous location as well) since I was a child! They are always friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and have a great selection. Anything they do have can be ordered.

In July we came here following recommendations for my daughter’s first riding helmet for pony club. A helmet was selected by a member of staff and fitted in store which we purchased along with new body protector. We were told if there were any problems to come back.After several weeks of my daughter complaining of feeling sick, having horrendous headaches and having red marks on her forehead after wearing the helmet twice a month, so very little wear. We returned to the store in September. The store assistant looked over the helmet on my daughter head and said there was not an issue with the sizing and that she should wear it in more (walking around the house with it on).We took their advice and after another several weeks the sickness, headaches and red marks persisted so we returned to the store again, phoning up first to be told ‘we could be extremely unlucky and her head might have grown’.During this visit, they selected another helmet for her to try on. Instantly my daughter explained how this helmet felt much more comfortable than her own.I was surprised to learn that I was expected to purchase the helmet that fitted at full price and only after complaining the best the assistant could offer was 50% off.I am now left with a barely worn helmet that cost me £90 which never suited our needs to begin with as it caused discomfort to my daughter’s head from the first ride she wore it for. We purchased this helmet in good faith that its sole selection for us by the member of staff would mean it suitable, trusting their expertise. Whilst I appreciate mistakes happen I am left very dissatisfied with how little the store attempted to resolve the situation as 50% off a helmet I would have never purchased if the original one had fitted, means I have spent more than I would expect. The original helmets price was higher than the full price of the correct one yet would have been happy to have exchanged at the very least, instead the excuse of not being able to resell the original helmet was deemed a good enough reason to be charged for the correct one. We shall not be returning and recommend double checking yourself that the helmet is comfortable before trusting the store to size and fit one for you. I have shared my experience with the pony club we are part of and they have reassured me that the service we received is not normal practise for equestrian retailers, so we look forward to receiving better service elsewhere.

Brilliant selection of horse equipment for rider, horse, stable and dogs too! Really good amount of second hand stuff too. I picked up a good rug, the perfect bit and a girth all second hand, good condition for a fraction of the cost of new. Staff lovely, knowledgeable and helpful
