PureGym Bristol Eastgate

It’s a good gym, very large and full of good equipment, not the best equipment but everything you need. My only issue is that the air conditioning is really poor, no real circulation or fresh air so when it gets to peak time it can get horribly stuffy. Multiple times when I’ve left the workout early cause I’ve been sweating too much or just feel gross due to it feeling like a sauna in there.

I rarely leave reviews, but was shocked to see all these bad reviews for this gym! People complaining about the location, I don't it's fair to leave bad reviews for that. It's also very subjective. Its an amazing location for me, my previous closest gym being twice as far in Easton and was not a nice gym!I was welcomed and shown around, everyone has been very friendly and helpful. Opening a new place will always take some time for the cogs to turn smoothly, and it's crazy that to me that people leave bad reviews after a one off experience which was likely an anomaly! It says more about the reviewer than the placeWith all that said, the gym is great! It's big and spacious and bright, all new equipment. The studio area is mostly empty outside of classes and I use it for stretching, it's great to have a whole room to yourself.I love it! My only gripe would be the music, but that's because I listen to my own on headphones. I find the music too loud, and pretty awful. But then again that's modern pop music for you!

I have already tried the city center gym, But I like this gym because There is not much crowd here so I can focus on my workout without waiting for the Instruments to be empty, Instruments are available quickly due to less crowd. The cleanliness is also done well here and the instruments are appropriately arranged, so one can easily pass by nearby.

Decent gym but someone needs to sort the cleaner out! The amount of rubbish and dirt ud think there was no cleaner! Bottles everywhere for days! Terrible

Extremely old equipment and doesn't work great.Not a single proper cleaning station that I could see in the whole building.Customers also really don't make it a comfortable place to be especially the judgemental young people who make you feel unwelcome.A real pimple on the behind of pure gym who generally are a good bet for gymsWill never visit that one again

I have mixed feelings about the experience. On the positive side, they offer a wide variety of gym equipment, making it easy to find the machines you need for your workout. However, I was quite disappointed with the hygiene standards. Many of the equipment pieces were consistently dirty, which left me concerned about cleanliness and the spread of germs. The state of the toilets was even worse; they were far from what one would expect in a gym. There were issues with cleanliness, with various bodily fluids and debris on the floor, which was quite off-putting. Overall, the gym has potential, but they seriously need to address their hygiene issues for a more pleasant and safe workout environment.

I went to this gym whilst spending time in Bristol. Even for a PureGym the standards are low. The dumbbells are out of order and dotted around the gym, left to be tripped over. This is the same with the plates. People would finish their set and just walk off, leaving plates on barbells and dumbbells where they were.One dumbbell had chewing gum stuck on it, that was dirty and had clearly been there a while. There were empty plastic water bottles, used tissues and even blood stained plasters on the floor. With various handles for cable machines there are paper towels and wipes just left on the floor.The staff don’t seem interested in keeping the gym tidy, rather leaning on their desk scrolling on their phones.

I don't use Pure Gym. I do use M&S next door. I am disabled and have mobility issues, so use the disabled parking bays. It never fails to amaze me how often I see the gym users with no blue badges parking in the disabled bay's and pop in to do their workout! I know not all disabilities are visible, but if you haven't got a blue badge, don't abuse the spaces. Please leave them for those unfortunate enough to really need them!!!!!!
