Best bakery in this area. Everything is super fresh. They are French so they know how to make things right! ;) my favorite is the almond croissant and the sourdough bread. It’s heaven! And they even cut the bread for you if you kindly as them to!

One of the best French bakeries I have been to and I have visited Paris so that says a lot. The puff pastry dough was incredibly flaky and delicious and the buns were soft and fluffy with warm balanced flavors. The scone was fantastic both in texture and in taste. Everything was well worth it, and I wish I had time to go again!

Vive la difference! Bread and croissants light years ahead of supermarkets. OK they are expensive but you get what you pay for. As for patisserie....yummy! Highly recommended, I'm back in Millau..!

I have past L'Angelou many times but never when it's open , today was my lucky day !I bought 2 Black Forrest desserts and a seeded sour dough, as an after thought I also bought 1 Croissant to have when I got home for Brunch .This was a great decision as it's the BEST croisant I've ever had , I'm excited for dinner later to try the bread and dessert .A wee photo of my Brunch , I warmed the Croissant in my Air Fryer ... Delicious .

I strongly recommend this bakery as a Frenchie who grew up in the French countryside, surrounded by some of the best traditional bakeries. The baguette is divine and the artisan skills are top notch at l'Angelou. Too many bakeries in Edinburgh, only selling expensive and overrated cookies, buns and cupcakes. If you go to this French bakery, you're in for an absolute treat! They also have the best pâtisseries and viennoiseries in Edinburgh!

This bakery is a gift, we are so lucky to have it in our area. Even in France you don't always find bakeries of that quality. I'm French and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a good fresh baguette or delicious pastries. My favourites: savoury baguettes, almond chocolate croissant. Also, make sure to come in the morning, these are going fast!

Lovely French bakery.Probably the most authentic French bakery in Edinburgh in my opinion (and I am French), bread and pastries are lovely.I do recommend the savory baguettes, tried a few combinations so far and it was always yummy.Price -wise, well it is a bit expensive, but crazy different to French prices.Only down point would be the opening hours! Haha I'd love for it to be opened later in the day :)

Best almond croissant HANDS DOWN. I’ve lived here so long and always caught l’Angelou when it was closed but had the chance today to try it and am mourning all the lost opportunities!!! 10/10 in every way. I will say the flat white could use some work but I understand baked goods are the specialty here. Can’t wait to try again!
