One of the least exciting of Maidenhead Aquatics shops. It has an ok selection of freshwater fish, inverts are just one tiny tank on the counter with shrimps of all colours and snails crammed together. Plant selection is poor and so is the quality. The most disappointing part is the accessory and products section. It’s all very basic stuff. Staff are not hugely competent. Even the display tanks are very poor. It is mostly a place for kids to run around banging on the tanks shouting “Nemo”. If I had a car I’d go to another one of their branches.

I didn't even know this place existed! I've now been there 3 or 4 times since buying my fish tank. Great array of fish, knowledgable and friendly staff, an awesome place for all of your aquatic needs. Each time i've been it has been quite busy, so be patient when waiting for assistance. I'll be a regular customer here.

We have had fish from here over the past few years with varying success. Guppies all died within a few weeks despite the water being tested. Last weekend we bought some and all but one died within a day - I explained what fish we had in the tank and they tested the water. When I called to explain what had happened I was advised that they may have been sucked into the filter, but this information was not provided when I bought the fish.

Ever so friendly and helpful people. Hoping to buy my first tank in decades soon and jumping on the aquascape train. Hopefully I'll be able to get a fair bit of info from the people running it as new territory for me!

Big place could do with being advertised more due to not knowing it was there. Personable staff and welcoming. I liked the fact you can spend a £1 and feed the coy. My boy loved this. Will definitely return and do this again.

Was after some driftwood, managed to get some for a bargain, I asked nicely for a cheeky discount, the manager was happy to give me a 10%. Friendly staff, very helpful.

As always couldn't help but pick up a little extra - went for my RO water and some replacement cherry shrimp thanks to a naughty person moving assassin snails into thier tank and now needing to re populate *sigh*...BUT was caught by the temptation of some gorgeous endler hybrids for one of my community tanks.Of course the staff we helpful as always not just patient with knowing how picky I am about wanting particular damn finnneeee looking fish, but taking care to catch them skillfully without causing undue stress and issues.Note... I'm a regular customer... they know my tanks bring a lot of satisfaction and joy to my life being mostly housebound. They may not always have the time or ability to catch certain fish if the store is busy or the tank a fish is in would cause distress to the fish to catch certain ones. Please don't expect staff to do something against safety of the fish as this will not happen - I know when I can and can't have the opportunity to ask for certain specimens and which staff have the skill to be ablity to do so. Of course they are always willing to help. And also great with loyal long standing customers. Many many thanks both at my old businesses and at home pretty much 90% stocked and planted from maidenhead. (Aside from a tiny stint of plastic plants when I first got back into it after becoming disabled and lacing in confidence to look after properly)
