I, like the others, can only wholeheartedly and unreservedly recommend the Wye Clinic. From my first consultation with Mr Simon Madge through to my final check up, I can honestly say that my visits have been a pleasure! Yes, I know that sounds unbelievable, - but it really is true. What's not to enjoy?Close to Hereford City Centre - but easily accessible, plentiful parking, - those with mobility problems can rest assured, - one can pull up right next to the entrance, and park within 20 paces.A warm and personal welcome from Rachel on entering, with an immediate offer of a hot drink, a pleasant waiting area, (and no - you will not be waiting for ages, you will be seen on time.)Far from all my most lurid imaginative worries, I was still lying staring at the bright light, waiting for it all to start, when Simon Madge announced 'that's your cataract gone' (!!!!!) - and that was it!No ginormous needles, no chain saw starting - was even offered my choice of background music.10 to 15 minutes tops! - Utterly painless!- and within another couple of minutes I was having a hot chocolate and a shortbread biscuit on my leather recliner in a very pleasant room with Gillian, a friendly and reassuring nurse.Five minutes later I was being driven home - no bulky dressings - just a clear plastic covering - to be thrown off at the end of the journey.I felt fine, - no pain, - could actually have driven myself (in my opinion) and was amazed to see that the two hibiscus, in full bloom, which I'd always thought were both the same colour, were actually two distinctly different colours - one a pink and one a blue.I booked immediately for the other eye to be done!I just cannot recommend the Wye Clinic and its wonderful staff enough.

I had a great experience from the beginning to end. The whole place is very professional and everybody from the receptionists to the consultant were amazing.I had originally attended the eye clinic because I unfortunately developed glaucoma. It turned out that the eye pressure was very high and if it had continued it could have caused enough visual damage to stop me from being allowed to drive or even complete vision loss. I required eye drops and laser eye surgery which was arranged very rapidly and thankfully the combined treatment has lowered the eye pressure to an almost normal level. The consultant I had was called Mr Amun Sachdev, who is a specialist consultant/surgeon in cataract and glaucoma treatments. He was very empathetic from the start and was always calming and caring throughout the whole process. Everything was explained very clearly and the results of the treatment have been fantastic. Although there had been some permanent nerve damage before starting treatment, I am convinced that he personally saved my eyesight. If anything happens again I will be booking in with them without hesitation. I can’t recommend them enough.

I can recommend The Wye Clinic without hesitation. I recently had multifocal lenses inserted in my eyes and my experience of the clinic has been excellent. The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient and the premises are spotlessly clean. The consultant eye surgeon was very professional and helped me make decisions about my treatment. My sight is now restored after 65 years of wearing glasses for short sight!

I recently had eye surgery performed by Mr. Simon Madge, who made me feel relaxed and confident all through the procedure. All of the staff at the clinic were friendly, caring, and very efficient. I was told how to care for my eyes after surgery and received a call the following day to check all was OK. I would highly recommend the Wye Clinic.
