If you like hiking, you'll enjoy climbing to the top. The views on the sunny day are great and the atmosphere so serene. One of the Belfast's closest country parks. Worth a visit!

Some very steep paths that only the fit should attempt. It is definitely not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. There are some some nice views over Belfast Lough from the high points.Overall, I was a bit disappointed because there was quite a bit of dog mess, a lack of waste bins and little seating.

Was a beautiful walk, not to long 5-6 kilometers. Plenty of parking. A lot of dog's walker's early in morning.

Lovely area to walk either alone or with a canine buddy. Lots of different routes to take and you can almost forget about the world as you wander through the woods.

Quite challenging depending on your fitness level and choice of footwear. Some incredibly steep sections of the path lead to beautiful views over Belfast Lough and mountains.

Redburn Country Park
Reasonably steep but a great walk and an adventure. I love the feel of the tracks and the area. Lovely view and lovely plants and trees. You rarely come into contact with other people so it's a great way to get away from stress and just chill.

Pretty quiet walk with numerous paths/routes to take. Can pick the tougher ones if you're feeling extra energetic! The view at the top was worth my struggle on the steep hills. Great for dogs too. But not all dog owners seem to pick up their poop which can be off putting to the trail.

Definitely one of my favourite places to walk. A short walk or a long one - a stroll or a hike -rejuvination or exploration - you find it all at Redburn!I prefer the walk from the carpark - lay-by at the Old Holywood Road - the steep start definitely warms you up. As you proceed further, forest opens and the view starts to captivate your attention. From here you may prefer to walk the less frequent 'in-forest' path - my dogs love all the smells, and there is a better protection from possible rain - you may choose hiking shoes after wett days - it will be muddy unless dry weather on previous days. This time of year - bluebell carpets are spreading widely - rightly enough to call it a fairy walk - reminding you that you are living on beautiful planet! The walk from the carpark close to to the Care Home at Old Holywood Road is more gentile for your lounges (unless you take the right hand side path - a killer challenge for your lungs!)The walk from Holywood cemetery - following the road leading right that turns into a lane will lead you to the Men's shed (definitely a fairy tale playground for little ones!)The walk from Jackson's Road is an option for the most leisure stroll - heading straight on the wide gravel path, and following the turn right will keep you on the lower part of the loop. At the junction - right - getting up to steeper part of the loop - left - getting down to Men's shed. You can easily walk the loop under an hour but if you don't know your way around, you can loose the bearings and your walk may take much longer.Anytime, from any starting point, with somebody or alone - this park will always share its magic! It is indeed magical!( afternoons are in general busier especially at weekends)

Lovely 5k walk, there are a few small hills...to get to the top and it can be very mucky when it's raining but the view at the top is worth it. I would also recommend visiting the men sheds if you have the kids with you. They always have little projects to put a smile on the adults and kids faces.
