Morning star was ready in time. We had a thorough handover with Olli. She was great to sail, so well rigged. The additional navigation apps on the tablet were so useful. I would skipper this boat again no problem

Recommend highly! Olly was fantastic and made the whole charter process seamless and suggested a great itinerary for our weeks cruising. Morning Star had everything you needed plus some and is clearly well maintained and looked after. As a family with four young children the boat was spacious and never felt cramped - kids loved it and especially being able to swim off the large platform which lowers when at anchor. Our only regret is that we didn’t charter for longer as so much to see and visit in this part of Scotland. We will be back and definitely charter again with Oban Yacht Charters.

Fantastic charter experience from beginning to end! Olly was tremendous help in organising and setting us up with local knowledge and info. Morning Star is a beautiful yacht in immaculate condition. We had a week of fabulous cruising around the scenic Sound of Mull and beyond. Two young families (3x adults, 4x children) were extremely comfortable aboard. We sailed, motored, anchored, fished, swam and laughed! We will be back!! Thanks Oban Yacht Charters and Olly in particular!!

We had a fantastic week of sailing aboard Morning Star. The boat is clearly maintained to the highest standard, very well set up for stress free cruising. Loads of room aboard for our family of four with plenty of storage for all our watersports gear. Good sized double berths all-round, perfect for our teenagers to loaf about in when they needed to. An excellent holiday!

A brilliant few days aboard Morning Star thanks to Oban Yacht Charters and Skipper Alex. As a family we are relatively new to sailing, but Morning Star was immaculate, thoughtfully equipped and with everything we needed for maximum comfort. Alex the skipper was patient, professional and fun, he knew exactly what was needed for a first family sail and his expert local knowledge meant that every anchorage was amazing. Hands on sailing for us all, new skills learnt and so many happy memories, I can’t recommend this highly enough, thank you.

Olly went out of his way to accommodate my delayed arrival following a last-minute booking due to our originally chartered yacht not being available anymore (due to a damage caused by the previous crew). He gave me a very thorough handover of 'Morning Star' even that late in the evening (and remained very responsive and helpful throughout the week). She is a very nice and well looked-after yacht. We had a fantastic week, I enjoyed instructing and my students had a great time learning to sail her in the Scottish seas and manoeuvre her in harbours/anchorages.Also, the on-board tablet with the many additional navigation apps was very useful.

We rented a Bavaria 40 fir a week's sailing on the west coast of Scotland. The boat was in excellent condition and is very well equipped with lots of safety equipment on board. Oliver gave us an extensive tour of the boat and was on hand to answer any questions. The boat is a very good sail, easy to maneuver and efficient in all types of conditions. It is well suited for a crew of 6 or 7 people. The bow thruster is a real plus in windy conditions.I would strongly recommend this boat if you consider sailing the west coast.Yvan03/07/2023

Olly at Oban Charters was extremely professional and friendly, with great communication throughout. We took the boat barebones and Olly was always available on the phone for any questions or tips for exploring the hebrides.Morning Star, a Bavaria 40, is a beautiful boat. Really spacious and comfortable for our group of 5. The boat is in perfect condition and has been really well thought through, from the rigging through to the cabin. I'm certainly not used to having a hot shower and wifi on board! Can't wait to charter this boat again in the future.

Arriving at Oban we were greeted by Ollie who gave a comprehensive handover to our Skipper and Mate. The boat was in great condition with all equipment fully functional. Equipped with all extras required for sailing the West Coast of Scotland nothing was amiss. Morning Star sailed well and coped with the condition admirably. I would fully recommend this charter. 5 stars.
