Fantastic post-sales service; my wife has a leather bag made for me 12 years ago. After a lot of heavy wear and tear, the handle came loose; Ian repaired it and returned it to me for free, despite a cost to him in postage - and refused all offers to pay him for the repair. Many thanks indeed.

What a fabulous man Ian is. Not only is his leatherwork gorgeous. But he goes above and beyond to help his customers. I went in hoping to find a small bag for my stepdaughter’s graduation but couldn’t find anything small enough. Ian asked if he could help and I explained. To which he suggested that a template he had out back could help. That was just the first amazingly helpful part of the story. The second was that the template wasn’t actually for a bag, but he’d alter it for me. And the third spectacular part was still to come. Once I’d agreed that the bag would be perfect, we talked about how difficult it would be to get it done on time as it was such a short timescale. And just as I’d accepted that I’d get the bag I wanted but not in time, he rang saying that it was ready. I couldn’t believe my ears. And wow what a fabulous bag it is! Thank you

The shop is a pleasure to go in, the smell, the items on offer and the decor all say: 'a bygone era when things were built better, to last and by a skilled pair of hands'. Ian is as generous with his knowledge and tips as he is on indulging customers whims for customisation.

The best belts I've ever found in the world. Good belts made of fine leather that look better with age, with simple buckles that are appropriate for casual and presidential wear are hard to find. Everywhere in the world I travel, I look for them. If you do not want a rodeo buckle and ornate, repetitive carvings, and laminated leather that comes apart with wear, this fellow offers the product for which you are looking. Straightforward, keeping the integrity of the leather grain and luster, I traveled from the USA to discover Ian's small shop. Thank goodness for the internet. I may not have to make a second flight just to buy belts for my family.
