Midway Surgery

Excellent GP practice. I recently had an appointment with Dr Sun and a lovely chaperone - Kelly. Both were truly fantastic and made me feel at ease during a minor procedure. Thank you for the excellent service and keep up the good work!

I would just like to thank Dr Joshua Stranders & the receptionist who dealt with me yesterday. Excellent service, kind and compassionate. I had a prescription within 3 hrs of desperately needing medical help.I'm fairly new to the practice having changed a few years ago, and so pleased I did. The reception Team are helpful & kind. Dr Stranders spoke to me with kindness and compassion. What a wonderful caring surgery. Thank you so much excellent service.

To the Midway Surgery Reception Team:As is the case with all of the Midway doctors and medical team, my experience of the Midway Reception Team has always been of your efficiency, kindness and helpfulness. For me this has been true for over twenty years; but I have particularly valued it during a difficult recent period of ill-health. You all - Barbara and her team - clearly work extremely hard (often under pressure) to resolve difficulties for patients, to advise them on how best to progress their issues, and to fit them whenever possible into tight schedules.I've been troubled to learn that some patients can be offensively critical to Reception staff when it isn’t possible to quickly secure the help needed. Whilst it is understandable that people with health problems can be anxious and distressed, I find it regrettable if their anger isn’t directed towards those really responsible for defects in our NHS provision – politicians, policy-makers, and high-ranking health officials – rather than to you front-line staff doing your excellent best in pressurised circumstances.I would like to thank you all, both for the high quality of the service you provide, and for the kindness and courtesy with which you deliver it.

Extremely discourteous and rude reception staff. Most of them should get the sack. They think they are doctors and know it all. I got a text from surgery to book a covid booster and flu jab, so I rang surgery up to do so but ended up having a debate about it. Rude receptionist insisted I could not make a booking for covid jab because they’d not started doing it. I asked why then did I get a text from surgery to book jab. She insisted text was not from surgery and that I drive all the way from my house to surgery to show her text. I ended up booking covid jab through nhs and at another surgery nearby. I got booster jab three days later. A very condescending lot at this surgery, only good thing about this surgery is Dr Imran Khan. The rest of them are inept to say the least. They haven’t a clue about meeting the needs of service users. I will be making a complaint to CQC.

My daughter and myself have had two separate appointments with the Dr this week and the service really has been fantastic. I called at 8:30 on both occasions and was number 22 and number 14 in the queue but only had to wait 10/12 minutes to get through to the receptionist. The receptionist had such a good balance of empathy and being proactive and we both got face to face appointments for the day we rang. The appointments themselves were of course seamless and very helpful. I just wanted to thank you for keeping up such a fantastic service in such busy and hard times.

We are so lucky to be with The Midway Surgery :-) We have been them for 23 years and have always had exceptional care. When we hear all the horror stories around GP surgeries we simply can't relate as the service from Midway is second to none. We can always get an appointment, the surgery is well equipped and staffed & organised, referrals to specialists are prompt and communication channels are first class. Well done the whole team and thank you.

I would like to complain about Dr. Elin Jones. By far one of the worst doctors I’ve ever seen. Recently midsiagnosed with barely any examination and a condescending demeanour (last two times). When it involves a very young child - this is a disgrace. I have emailed your surgery with no response.

Thank you to the reception staff and nurse Simon for helping my daughter with her ear infection and telling us to go to hospital - did have a 12 hour wait at Luton A&E but received excellent service when they got to us
