South African Secrets Limited

Our South African Secrets holiday was in July 2023. As a family of 4, including two teenage boys, we were looking for a bespoke holiday with a mix of destinations, activities and adventures. The primary goal was safari, but we also needed a bit of down time and some fun activities.Paul and Terry were fantastic from start to finish, they have unparalleled, first hand knowledge of the best lodges, game reserves and places to visit. They have a true passion for the country and are clearly specialists in what they do. Initially Paul visited us at home to discuss our requirements, he was incredibly patient with our indecision, including date and destination changes.Our holiday exceeded all expectations, our accommodation was fantastic. Under friendly guidance from Paul at the airport, we easily navigated car rental, road rules, tolls, tipping, eating out.Our itinerary was the perfect mix... hiking, quad biking, running and zip lining in the mountains to swimming in the crystal clear waters of Cape Verde. The tranquility of the Nelson Mandella Capture site, the adventure of self-driving to St Lucia. Sea fishing and a day on a dairy farm were as interesting and exciting as the adventure filled safaris. We saw all the animals and enough drama with Cheetahs to provide lasting memories and raise the heads of the teenagers from their phones!We chose to mix luxury dining with pizza & BBQ's. We drank hot chocolate and champagne in the bush, we watched the sun rise and the sun set. We met wonderful locals and engaged with the local communities.This was 'our' holiday, nobody else's, we couldn't have picked it from a brochure. Paul and Terry make every holiday different, special and unique to their clients. We trusted them to deliver our 'once in a lifetime' holiday and honestly they gave it to us.

We have recently returned from a wonderful family trip to Botswana and had a great experience with South African Secrets. The whole trip was very well organised and completely seamless (despite 2 years of covid delays!). Watching the elephants play in the Chobe river was a highlight and champagne in the okavanga delta was best sundowner venue ever. Thanks to Terry and Paul for helping us create memories to last a lifetime!

Holiday in South Africa July 2023 with South African Secrets. What can I say? Wow! Totally amazing, holiday of a lifetime! South African Secrets organised our bespoke itinerary and it exceeded all my expectations. Each time we arrived at a venue we thought it couldn’t get better, but it did! Paul and Terry were the perfect hosts, from the minute they met us at the airport till the moment we left. Friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable with an excellent taste in wine! The safari experiences were incredible, seeing animals so close in their natural habitat was absolutely amazing, no words can explain that feeling. I highly recommend South African Secrets, I won’t hesitate to use them again when I return.

We'd been looking forward to a holiday of a lifetime and we experienced so much more than we ever thought possible. Initially we provided Paul and Terry with the most basic of outlines - can we spend time in the wine regions and also camp in Kruger Park? From those bare bones Paul and Terry produced us with an itinerary that we thought was incredible. When we experienced the trip it was even better than we could have imagined. Having benefitted from their immense experience and knowledge of South Africa we now have so many fabulous memories of or trip. I would recommend anyone thinking of taking a holiday in South Africa to talk to Paul and Terry at South African Secrets, you won't regret it.

Paul and Terry are amazing hosts and made our stay in South Africa so so special - from staying with them in their beautiful home where our every wish was granted to organising amazing adventures - a personal encounter with a wild elephant to an up close visit with a cheetah - anything and everything we asked for and much much more . Terry & Paul organised an amazing holiday for us on the Garden Route in South Africa. Their knowledge & attention to detail was clear in the brilliant venues & locations that we visited, finishing with a fantastic safari in Shamwari. Personal service was second to none. Holiday July 2023.We had a wonderful experience from start to finish with our holiday organised by Paul and Terry and I would highly recommend this business to others.The itinerary was superbly arranged and packed in more than I could have imagined but we also had time to take it all in and relax. The tours and safaris were amazing and the guides organised by Paul and Terry were so knowledgeable and enthusiastic.Paul and Terry went above and beyond with every aspect of our holiday and tailored it to us perfectly. I will definitely visit again and will only use South African Secrets to plan the next holiday.The best way to see South Africa is through South African Secrets they really do know it best.

This company is absolutely exceptional!Paul & Terry organised our honeymoon and it couldn't have been easier. We let them know our budget and the dates we were free to go and they organised absolutely everything from there. They sent us our personalised itinerary with all the accommodations listed alongside any experiences they thought would fit in with our routes. As we were local to their UK address they even took the time to come over to ours before our trip and go over maps and the areas we would be visiting.Once we arrived in SA and picked up the hire car (organised by them) our first stop was their beautiful B&B and they just make it feel like home, right down to playing our first dance song from our wedding whilst we were enjoying a beautiful breakfast on the balcony.All the places we stayed were absolutely incredible and the owners of all the accommodations spoke very highly of Paul & Terry.We had so many incredible experiences thanks to their knowledge and support when we were there. They organised visits to be up close and personal with Cheetahs and Elephants (which is truly an experience we will never forget) right down to knowing the best places to pop in for lunch as a driving break on routes between lodges.All we can say is Thank You to Paul & Terry and for anyone looking to visit South Africa... you absolutely must use South African Secrets!
