Birdland Park & Gardens

Crazy amount of birds - this is the place to take the bird watchers in your life. Got a dinosaur obsessed little one? Perfect! They have a Jurassic Journey trail they will love (but beware it can be a little muddy!) Bourton itself is a really pretty town but VERY busy with tourists however Birdland is a short 5-10 minute walk away from that.

Beautiful animals but a very upsetting experience. 'Weedland' would be more fitting!!At the end of my pictures, I took photos of just some of the weed infested, run-down enclosures. These, however, reflect all of them. Dirty water, small enclosures, and especially what I believe to be an abandoned Eagle forgotten about in a run-down cage. Metal around the site exposed everywhere and bins overflowing with rubbish. Apart from the ticket desk, the only staff I saw were the two young girls in the Ice Cream hut. Regardless of how much this place may bring in due to its location, the state of these enclosures and the site overall is absolutely appalling! It should be shut down, renovated, and a host of experienced keepers around the clock to look after these beautiful animals and the minimal spaces they have been given.As an animal lover, I left Birdland feeling nothing but infuriated and upset, and I will be looking into this further. They should be absolutely ashamed of themselves!!

Fantastically dog friendly and a great place to visit.Some areas are more wheelchair friendly than others, but on the whole, a fantastic day out.I do recommend good footwear if you plan on seeing the dinosaurs.

Such a wonderful family and dog friendly place to visit.The staff are very friendly and helpful.So many varied birds so well cared for and the penguins were our favourite.The talk from the penguin keeper was very funny and informative.Especially when we learnt Spike one of the penguins there, was a star in the Batman Movie.WoW!!It's brilliantly priced for a day out and we loved the gift shop.Thank you Birdland Park, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

We enjoyed the range of birds they had here, however the fact it wasn’t a discounted price when some enclosures were being renovated and the dessert bit wasn’t even open is wrong. Reception didn’t warn of this and were no signs to say this. The enclosures were not very big either and I’m not sure why they make these bird enclosures so low, why can’t they be very high so the birds can actually fly a bit? Doesn’t take up any more of a footprint in the park. Takes about 1 hour to see everything so don’t expect to spend a day here!

Amazing place to visit. We were staying in the area for a few days and came across Birdland by chance and very pleased we did, had a wonderful few hours here on a beautiful sunny day. Very Interesting seeing all the different birds including my favourite, the Snowey Owl. Dog friendly as well long as you keep dogs on a lead and clean poo up. Definitely worthy of 5 stars.

Well laid out and varied bird park, designed to feel bigger than it actually is.The dinosaur walk was interesting and relevant to birds as well.Access for disability was good, and parking was close by. All dog friendly. The price was around what you would expect these days, but the cafe food was a little underwhelming.Worth a visit if you are in the area anyway.

Good place for kids to enjoy park and picnic.We were able to see penguins very close.No maintenanceWe saw lots of chicks dead in the cage.No proper cleaningPlaces were uncleaned. The penguins pool was really the worst.No proper signs for the way.

Brilliant place to walk around & explore different birds. Very up close & personal with the penguins which was fab. My little boy really enjoyed the Jurassic Journey. Good value for money.
