Bupa Dental Care Crewkerne

This is coming from someone who has been to many dentists over the years and had some extensive work done. The staff here are lovely and caring. They are super friendly and understanding. I am such a nervous wreck at the dentist but Dr. Sapna Patel was just amazing! So kind and informative! You cant go wrong at this dentist. Highly recommended.

Had an 'emergency' appointment I booked back in November 2022 and couldn't be seen till today, 10th January 2023. I was seen by an NHS dentist who spent 40 minutes giving me a lecture instead of extracting the tooth that needs to come out and now have to wait till end of Feb to have that procedure done hoping I don'tget more intense pain or another abcess in the mean time! His manner with people needs a LOT of work. I left feeling belittled from all of the scoffs behind his mask and snide remarks about dental hygiene, my diet and my health conditions which is absoloutely appalling!

I have been calling for a year now to try and get an appointment, unfortunately due to the shortage of dentists they were unable to give me any appointments. I then called in a lot of pain with a tooth and was told they had an emergency dentist 2 days a week and to call on those days to try and get an appointment, so I called on one of those days to then be told…. Sorry you’re no longer registered with us because you havnt been to us in 2 years! How can I come to you if you won’t give me an appointment!!!! Absolutely shocking! You would think the staff would make a note of anyone who has been trying to get an appointment but clearly that’s too much trouble.

Excellent dental centre. I have had some very intricate dentistry performed here - implants and specialist root canal work (not the usual root canal but a reworking of an extremely old root canal) over the years. It was a wonderful surprise to find that they now have a visiting root canal specialist, Octavian, who performed the most magnificent job recently and saved me having to have a tooth and bridge removed. I am delighted with the care and attention I receive here and have been a patient for at least 8 or more years. Many of the staff are long serving which is always a good sign and headed up by the extremely professional Mr. Taylor who has such a pleasant manner that I am never nervous. His dental equipment is clearly modern and up to date with a TV to show you close up of X Rays and enable him to explain thoroughly any dental problems.Everything is spotlessly clean and freshly painted. His usual assistant Steph would bring a smile to the most nervous patient and put them at ease. The cheery efficient reception staff make attending this practice a pleasure when I walk through the door. The six months between seeing the hygienist seem to fly by and Louise has a wonderful manner to reassure me - I notice she is always ahead of the trends for the very best in customer care with new systems she introduces. (*the new mouth shield is quite something to behold!). I am particularly pleased with the bright clean bathroom facilities. Everything is kept to the highest standards overseen by the ever efficient and ever present Practice Manager. I have always been offered an emergency appointment quickly as know how difficult they are to fit in. I also appreciate the text reminders of forthcoming appointments. With close private car parking and a friendly welcome and excellent customer service clearly a vital part of the Practice to back up the highest professional dental surgeons I recommend this practice wholeheartedly. For me it is always money well spent. JR

Absolute disgrace have not seen a dentist since covid started, cancelled appointment after a appointment even if your in agony with tooth ache and been on several courses of antibiotics you still don’t get an appointment, think it’s come to DIY now . I don’t really know why they have a receptionist down there because they’ve got no dentist. Good job us workers on the front line have not let anyone down.

I did not feel listened to and felt fobbed off.I wanted my painful tooth removed. Instead I was given an xray and put on antibiotics and another apt in 14 days. I needed strong pain killers and wasn't told about orajel to numb the area. I found out about that from a friend who is a dental nurse! I am not impressed with this practice now. You would think as a private patient you would get better care.

Wonderful clean and welcoming practice. Reception staff Charlotte knowledgeable and happy to help. Dannie the dentist made my grandchildren fell relaxed and spoke reassuringly throughout the check up explaining what she was doing as she went along. They are actually always excited to visit. Defiantly a five star experience for young children.

I've been with this place a while and have been seen by several NHS dentists there. I've said the same to every one; I'm in pain every day and I struggle to eat. Not a single one of them has been interested in helping me. I desperately need dentures but all they want to do is fillings then see you next time. I'm scared of leaving this review as they might not treat me again, but honestly I'm getting desperate.The dentist I saw today said there's nothing wrong with my teeth, but the very few teeth I have hurt me every day so how can this be right??

A totally professional, calm and delightful experience: Amazing !! Staff are super friendly and the dentist was gentle and pleasant. Excellent from walking in the door to leaving...the receptionist was very accommodating, very put you rest, ease,They also saw me very quickly and waiting time was kept to a minimum. Thank you.

After 12 yrs of not going to the dentist due to a very bad experience, I reached the stage where I just had to go as a discoloured front tooth was stopping me from smiling. I was put at ease during my check up and then took a week off work to fit in all the treatment I needed. Just been for the first lot and not only was I handled with extreme care and made to feel I was in very safe and competent hands, I The offending tooth is normal colour again and I have not stopped smiling since I got up off the chair! For someone who would rather poke sticks in my eyes than go to a dentist all I can say is thank you so much. I will be telling everyone and anyone what a wonderful practise this is. And I will be back tomorrow for some more treatment, but, with a bigger smile than I had when I came in this morning.
