Great place with great coffee. Really enjoyed a nice breakfast cob and slice of cake.very nice modern setting with plenty of space and little play area outside for the kids. Staff are warm , friendly and polite and really make you feel welcome. If you like a slither of cake be warned these are great cakes but you got to be quick , they are popular. For a place in its infancy they have made an amazing start and living close I am eager to see this great little spot grow from strength to strength. Highly recommend this place for sure.

Really interesting (and smart) little museum, telling the story of the development of the local potteries. Being new to the area, a great place to go to understand the surprising (to me) history of what was once a heavily industrialised area. Free admission - optional donations welcome.

A small museum but full of interesting history about the pottery industry of the area. Also a small exhibition about the National Forest with many suggested walking leaflets. An excellent cafe is available serving homemade cakes, soups and snacks. Spent about 2 hours.

An interesting museum built around a huge kiln, with information on the once important industries in the area. There is a nice cafe with a selection of cakes and savoury snacks with a garden and play area outside. A free car park is just a short distance away.

For an charity that doesn't charge admission, this site is impressive! Friendly staff, thoughtful displays with some interactive elements, good explanations of what you are looking at and a film of the history of the site. We (75, 74, 40, 39, 10 and 7 years old) were all impressed. The gift shop sells local artists produce and they are actively looking for suggestions of how to make the site even better. The tea room serves good food and drink which is reasonably priced.

Went for the craft fair. Lots of lovely stalls with a variety of crafts. Had a drink and cake in the cafe it was a bit disorganised but tasty just the same.

Lovely small museum. History of coal mining and pottery in the local area. No charge. Very good cafe. Helpful staff. Good menu and not expensive. Will go again.

A nice little museum, cafe and play area. An interesting place to spend a couple of hours learning about the history of Swadlincote inside one of its old potteries. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable and good with children.
