Ordered the mix grill and paid £4 extra for the 8oz steak, when my meal arrived it came with a 4oz steak and very few chips I told the waitress that I ordered a 8oz steak, she said she would go and check my order when she returned she said the chef had read the order wrong and he was going to cook me another 4oz steak and bring me. More chips, the stake and chips arrived which were far hotter than the first lot, I ate what I could as the chicken was very dry and the rest of the food was cool I asked the waitress who cleared the plates who was in charge and said I wasn't happy nobody came over which I was not impressed with. Hoping to hear from you. Brian Knowles.

Popped in for an evening meal. Most tables were already booked (it was Steak night). Decent bottle of white wine (Oyster Bay) on special offer.Very good food. Would recommend booking ahead

Waited 40 min for a Sunday roast and it is the poorest Sunday roast I have ever had. Carrots couldn't be eaten, thank God for gravy. I will definitely not come back to this place. Ashame because it is a really nice and cozy place. Food and service are really poor although it was not busy.

Really nice place. We went on a Monday evening so it was really quiet. Good atmosphere and nicely decorated. The food was tasty, reasonably priced and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I particularly like the area that was dog friendly because this means we can go there more often haha

The bar the set was good the waitress (I think ) was dreadful. The Taika chicken bites where nasty looked great but good may of been rat. The fish and chips were edible but again not great and very few chips along with what seemed like one bite of peas. Defiantly no going again gave them two stars as the place is nice and the barstaff was good big room for improvement there

As our ' local' Ember Inns' pub was closed for refurbishment we thought we'd visit ' The Bull's Head, Astley, for lunch.Rather glad we did ! Very welcoming and friendly staff. We explained that we'd not been here before etc. The lady behind the Bar explained that we needed to choose a Table ( table 30 ) , decide what we wanted from the Menu then return to the Bar to place our Food & Drinks order. From the menu I chose Lamb kofta as my Starter then Sausage & Mash for my Mains. My Husband chose Garlic bread then Gammon & Pineapple for his Mains. Within 10 minute's our Starters arrived ! Both looked very tasty and certainly tasted as good as they looked ( small portion for both but certainly enough for 2 hungry Men ). Mains course arrived in equally good time . Again , neither disappointed. Both dishes were very appealing and didn't disappoint on eating! We left ' The Bull's Head ' feeling pleasantly full bit not too stuffed.Would we return? Absolutely! Staff were friendly but not overly and the Food was a extremely good. I certainly recommend dining here for Lunch 10/10 .

40 minute wait, excuses made by staff, hardly any actual meat to be found (especially on this double portion of meat option) and I'm still hungry. Pretty much an empty restaurant too. Never again

Went in yesterday for food and it was absolutely amazing the chefs were Jodie and Dan they are a credit to the bulls head and know how to cook a good steak my sirloin was cooked perfectly and how I asked for it!!! The front of house members are also incredible (Jake and manager Tracy) such a warming atmosphere!!! Will definitely be going back

Not the best. Ordered rib of beef but it was dreadful. It had to be sent back. Ordered the fish as a replacement and it was much better. Not impressed by Ember Inns. It's either the food stock or the staff. I'd move with the food stock as I've been all over and seem to find myself unhappy with the food. This should be looked at since the change of menu. It's awful!
