Very disappointed with the afternoon tea I shared with my mother today ,The coffee was Luke warm and only one cup was offered .The scones served were absolutely tiny and over baked . They did not resemble the ones out on the counter as you enter the venue .TheAt £36 cakes on display at the entrance and on the website looked lovely, there was no choice of what was served on the afternoon tea , and did not resemble the ones on display , also a quarter of Manchester tart that was obviously shop bought , a dry triangle of jam slice and a triangle of brownie , again nothing in comparison to what we’re on display . At £36 for two people it wasn’t the cheapest of afternoon teas , but I felt general cheated with what products are advertised and what are actually served , Be warned .

Only popped out for cake and a brew, ended up having dinner. The Yorkshire Pudding Wrap was lovely, lots of Beef cooked perfectly and the Loaded Fries with Sweet Chilli Crispy Shredded Beef, top notch.Staff couldn’t do enough for you, making sure everything was as it should be and you get to look at all the amazing looking afternoon teas coming out while you wait.

Beautifully tasty and quality food, every time. The service is always friendly and attentive. Delicious breakfast and sweet treats for sale. The afternoon tea is an absolute winner and there's more than you could possibly eat! Luckily they are happy to give you a box to takeaway any leftovers as you won't want to let it go the waste!I find it is always very busy but I suppose if you're serving the best cafe food in the area it will be busy!

Fantastic café and farm shop! If you're in the area you really should go but be aware it's busy for a reason! We had a doorstep sandwich each, honestly one between two adults would have been enough but they were great! We particularly enjoyed the tuna one.I would challenge you to have room for cakes and buns, we didn't....so we bought them as take aways. Wow! The Lotus biscuit tiffin was delicious and so to was the Almond and pear frangipane.

Went on spec with my daughter. Was very pleasantly surprised, not what I was expecting at all. Very nice dining room, staff were excellent, friendly and genuinely smiley. Food was top notch - I had a chicken and stuffing “door stop” sandwich. My daughter had a Cajun chicken and brie wrap. Absolutely no complaints. We bought cake to take away too. Great value for what we had.

A hidden gem, but not so hidden as to stop it being full and bustling on the Saturday afternoon we visited. Despite it being busy, service was friendly and fast. Afternoon tea for 2 kept us fed for a day and a half!

My friend treated me to the festive afternoon tea for my birthday.Oml it was amazing you get loads for your money. There were chicken and stuffing sandwiches, ham sandwiches, breaded brie bites, pigs in blankets, mini mince pies, orange cake, chocolate Christmas trees, and scones. You also get bottomless drinks if you select a normal coffee or tea.Absolutely fab will definitely be back

We always bring any visitors here and they are always blown away by it. Daily specials board as well as the normal menu. Portions are huge, so much so that I now always take a box with me and if I chose the Farmers salad, decant half of it before I even start. On my last visit, I had the steak pie - and am still dreaming of the flavoursome taste. It is known for the towering cakes - 1 portion is sufficient to share. As for the afternoon teas- second to none.

Lovely little spot for some tasty food. We sat down in the restaurant and had the scampi &chips and sticky beef ciabatta. Only small issues were that to pay for your meal you were paying at the same till used for the little cake shop at the front. This was crowded and we had quite a wait as there were others ordering cakes and sweet treats. The cakes were very tasty though and would definitely venture again but maybe at a quieter time - if there is one!
