I visited this venue for my best friend's wedding. It's the perfect place for a party. Jan and her team were wonderful, very professional, very friendly, highly recommended to others. I especially enjoyed meeting and feeding Maggie and the other camels.

Choosing the Cornish Camels as our wedding venue was the best decision we made. Jan and Christopher were incredible, and we could not fault their hard work and dedication to ensuring that everything about our day ran smoothly. Everything about the day was perfect from beginning to end and we had a truly magical wedding day. The corn chamber and the hay bales made for an ideal and unique setting for our ceremony, and it was certainly one of the highlights of the day. The drinks reception in the garden created the relaxed atmosphere that we wanted, and Jan and her team were brilliant at serving our welcome drinks and ensuring our guests had what they needed. The camel centre looked fantastic when it was set up for our wedding breakfast and evening, with the camels in the background, we really couldn’t have asked for a better location. All the guests loved having the chance to feed the camels, a truly unique experience that I don’t think anyone will forget. I could not recommend Cornish Camels highly enough, for us no other wedding venue would even come close to competing. Jan and Christopher ensured everything went to plan and helped us feel at ease knowing that everything was in safe hands. Our families stayed for the week after the wedding and could speak more highly of the whole family and how friendly and accommodating they were, going above and beyond to ensure they had the best stay possible. Thank you, Jan and Christopher, for being such a big part of the best day of our lives.

We have nothing but an abundance of gratitude and praise for lovely Jan and her family, who own & run Cornish Camels. We held our wedding reception at Rosuick in October 2021, after marrying on St Michael's Mount (sorry for the ridiculously delayed review, Jan!); NOTHING was too much bother! Jan agreed to meet us for a number of visits before the big day and took absolutely everything in her stride. She couldn't have made it any easier for us. Cornish hospitality at its very best.I'm a professional musician and have played many hundreds of weddings at lots of the county's most popular wedding venues. Cornish Camels is absolutely up there with the best of them - far more unique and memorable than the typical golf course or hotel. Honestly, I can't recommend them enough! The venue is a fantastic space in which to do your own thing and Jan and family are brilliant at supporting and encouraging that. We opted to pay for the wagon house to be extended (with a large canvas) and our guests ate canapés there on arrival - again, no trouble whatsoever. We held the wedding breakfast in the Camel Centre itself and Jan & family bent over backwards to help us decorate/dress the room as we wanted to and gave us a lot of ideas from their vast experience. On the day, we used our own caterers (who were also excellent - big nod, James!!) and brought a fantastic band called 'Freshly Squeezed' down from Plymouth. They had no issue with sound limiters or access and they played out of their skins as a result. Very happy musician bride, groom and guests! We also rented Rosuick Cottage for the weekend and felt totally at home there, as did our daughter (who was 18-months old at the time). The grounds are beautiful with SO much scope for outdoor decoration in the summer and there was tons of space for optional camping, had more of our guests braved the autumn conditions.I'm a proud Cornishman myself, so we were lucky to know the area and have the option to make lots of visits, but if you're considering booking from further afield, I'd implore you to do so with total confidence. All in all, we made lifelong memories at Cornish Camels - we'll never forget our wedding reception there and we hope to return for a stay (and perhaps a milestone anniversary party) one day in the future.Thank you all so very much, Jan and Family. You are brilliant and well worth every penny of the very reasonable fee you charged us. Wishing you all the very best! John and Harriet x

Great place for a wedding! We didn't see any camels back in the barn throughout the wedding but you could see them in the fields. The only little thing I have that they wasn't a massive selection of drinks at the bar but you can find something you will drink but a lovely place for a wedding venue and all staff super friendly

We had our whole wedding day here in the most beautiful setting, Jan and her team were extremely helpful from the moment I enquired about booking the venue and after the wedding had finished. We had the best day and to quote some guests the party to end all parties" and we couldn't have done it without the Cornish Camels Team. They went above and beyond to help us organize every little detail from the ceremony structure

A lovely venue for a wedding. Super canapés and then early evening meal. Tasty, delicious buffet. On my alloted table they laid for 8 instead of 9 and I was left off, which knocked my confidence, to be honest. However, I was able to sit with my daughter and still had a fab time.

We attended a Christmas party here and it was a nice venue. Plenty of room and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Lovely mulled cider and festive buffet. The acoustics made it difficult to hear speeches etc, but I imagine a pa system can be used if required. We even saw the camels (outside in a howling gale but we were snug inside).
