Great name

From first meeting Shaun, through to our wedding day and then designing our wedding album, Shaun put us at ease and all our wedding photos were fantastic.I was a little worried about having a photographer at the house while I got ready, but Shaun was great, he wasn't intrusive and made myself, family and bridesmaids feel comfortable.All our guests said how lovely he was during the day and he made sure he got all the specific pictures we had asked for, though some of our favorites are ones we didn't know he was taking!When our wedding album arrived we were over the moon as it is perfect, what was very nice though is that we got all our pictures on USB so we didn't have to wait for the album to show friends and family. I couldn't recommend Shaun enough and we will certainly be using him for family shots in the future.

My natural habitat is behind the camera, as a professional filmmaker I am rarely the other side of the lens so for me choosing a wedding photographer was about more than selecting someone with a great eye for composition, creativity and technical knowhow. It was about finding someone who would be part of our wedding, interact with our friends and family and capture what it was like to be part of the day. Our day was to be a modest and intimate event and thus I wanted someone who would capture the atmosphere of the day, the laughter and excitement, guests relaxed and enjoying themselves. As an filmmaker or in this case a photographer you can only do that by being part of an event, being “one of the guests” putting people at ease and enjoying what you do.Shaun to me was the obvious choice to take our wedding photographs, his work suggested that when he is photographing your wedding he is no outsider looking in, he is one of the guests. A guest who just happens to have two cameras strapped to his belt and takes an excellent photograph mind you.On the day he indeed was one of the guests chatting to people, having a laugh and a joke and generally being part of the action, whilst also taking hundreds of stunning images of the day. His work ethic is outstanding and his approach to the task exemplary. His photos of our day really capture the atmosphere of the day, the nerves when getting ready, the excitement of my wife as she put on her dress, the intimacy of the ceremony and the fun and laughter of the reception and evening do. Not only were we very impressed by his work and the way he went about it but many of our guests noted how much they enjoyed him being part of the day.Even the most camera-shy amongst our guests were at ease with Shaun behind the lens and I can honestly say the day would not have been what it was without him being there, nevermind the resultant images.As an image maker myself I cannot praise Shaun’s work enough and look forward to seeing him again at a wedding this summer as he is going to be photographing my brother-in-law’s wedding in September.

As an Illustrator by profession I’ve always been picky when it comes to the visual, certainly when it came to our wedding. And with 4 years spent at Art College, you can imagine I’d come across more photographers than you can shake a stick at.The second I saw Shaun’s photography, I knew we needed to have HIS images make up our wedding album. He’s not your everyday wedding photographer – he captures so much more of those unique feelings and emotions through the lens of his camera.Not only is he outrageously talented, but also humble. Humility and great talent are a combination far too rare, but Shaun is a model of these as he quietly captures the precious moments of that special day without invasion of any sort. I couldn’t number the amount of people that have said they’re the most beautiful wedding photos they’ve ever seen (some, even including their own).I could write page upon page of praise about Shaun as a photographer and as a person, but to keep it concise for those reading I will say this – Having Shaun as our photographer was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding, and we wouldn’t have to think twice about going back to him in the future.Shaun, we will never be able to thank you enough for the precious tangible memories you’ve given us. Stunning in appearance and content. You are one of the most talented photographers I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.Thank you Shaun, a thousand times over!

The memories of your wedding day are as important as the day itself. Choosing the right photographer was at the top of the agenda for us, and we couldn't have made a better decision.Shaun’s vibrant, unique images immediately stood out against all the competition and after discussing the vision for our urban New York wedding not only did he completely understand the cool city feel that we were after but went beyond that with fantastic ideas and suggestions reflective of his impressive artistic flair.Planning a wedding is of course a busy and often stressful process but Shaun’s professional proactive approach meant that we didn’t have to worry about photography for a moment. He made regular contact with us and really got to understand what we were looking for through video Skype calls whenever needed.He suggested that an engagement shoot would be a great way for us to get used to working together and to feel more comfortable in front of the camera for our big day. And again, concerns of anything too “soppy” were quickly put aside when Shaun suggested that we mirror the urban nature of our wedding by doing a city shoot. The photographs were stunning – modern, fresh and different from anything we’d ever seen… we couldn’t wait for what was to come!Whilst planning a wedding is complex, planning a destination wedding is a whole other level but Shaun truly embraced the opportunity and spent time in the weeks before scouting out locations, researching the venues and then flew out a few days before the big day to make final preparations. Shaun’s passion for what he does shines through at every moment. In fact so impressed were we by Shaun’s professionalism and ability to create a relaxed environment that we decided to get Shaun involved the day before the wedding during which he took stunning images of our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner.When the big day came around no-one worked harder. Shaun was with us from 6am…. not missing a moment of the preparations and not letting a challenge like Manhattan traffic slow him down or preventing him from capturing the most beautiful images of the preparations taking place in three separate locations around town. His ability to remain unobtrusive and seamlessly blend in with what was happening throughout the day meant that he was able to capture the most intimate, natural moments of which we sometimes had no idea that he had done so – images we will treasure always.We simply could not be happier with our wedding photos and are truly thankful to Shaun for all his hard work.
