Well I called into friendly fisheries on the 03/08/2023 . I’ve not been in there for over a year atleast. Well I had fish & chips with curry sauce and they was the best I’ve had in a long time . The best in and around this area I think .The batter lovely and crispy the fish was very white inside chips cooked to perfection. The staff were very polite, the two young girls that were serving and frying that day were very polite and I had a lovely conversation with the server . I can say we will be using friendly fisheries a lot more in the near future . It’s a great place for quality fish’s & Chips .

Really nice chips, soft and fluffy in the middle and nice and crisp on the outside, staff were friendly and had a laugh with us. Definitely worth a visit.

The most tastless fish I've ever hadDon't know what fish they use but there was no taste at all. Too many chips . Probably to make up for the rubbish fish . Won't be going again

Best chippy in the area in my opinion really good portion size and price is reasonable as well for now a days. Quick service is always nice even when busy. Only downside is parking can be a pain.

Called in for Sunday fish n Chips on way home from a visit to peace hall Halifax.Managed to get parked right outside their door which was a bonus. Got fish n chips for the two of us. As there is a wait for freshly cooked fish I waited in the car. The young girl brought our meals out to the car, which I thought was a nice touch. The meal was cooked well - especially the fish, there was plenty, and all cooked in dripping. It certainly hit the spot for us as it was just what we wanted and expected. Well done Friendly Fisheries, if we’re passing again we would pop in.

Friendly Fisheries
Best fish and chips in town. Friendly indeed and they accept card and contactless payments. Generous portions as the regular fish is quite large, and small ones are also available at reasonable prices. Tartar sauce and ketchup are free of charge. Would recommend and visit again.
