Absolutely lovely little bar with friendly clientele and a great Landlord. Big shout out to the Landlord who keeps the cleanest, best stocked ladies loos. A pleasure to visit.

The Stag has got to be one of 'newest', 'oldest' pubs in Stowmarket.The premises has been there for a few hundred years. I remember it as a butchers in the 70's but it became a pub in the same decade, hence oldest/newest.Always popular, always topical.Public car park nearby.Town centre 2 mins walk.John Peel Centre 2 mins walk.Train station 5 mins walk.Pool table, music, TV and wheelchair accessible.Oak beams and low ceilings so mind your head.Staff are attentive, fun and there is a great selection of drinks.

Good local pub near the high street, cheap drinks, good atmosphere. Visited on a busy Saturday night. Dart board and pool table. Friendly staff, one of the guys ran after us as my partner left her bag which was kind and lucky for us! We will visit again!
