Went here for the first time a couple of weeks ago and the chips were the best chips I've had in a long time. Nice golden crispy chips and they were piping hot, good size portion as well so I was stuffed for the rest of the day.

One of the best chippy teas I've ever had, excellent value, wonderful staff, the fish was huge & fresh and melted in my mouth, perfect chips, the photo shows about half(!) of a large chips. The peas weren't from Whittakers, I don't like mushy peas!

If you call this a pie maybe you should go into a different business. It was soggy and crushed. Chips were also soggy and seemed like they hadn't even seen the fryer. Glad we won't have to come back again!!! Also should worry about a place that has files stacked on their hand wash sink and have Mr muscle (not food safe) on the side in use while trading.

Our go to weekly take away for fish chips at Whittakers was again delicious. Never seems to disapoint. Fish and chips so fresh and great size potions to feed the whole family. Thanks so much. Would highly recommend. Great friendly service.

Nice fish and chips the peas and gravy are good as well. They also do Fanta lemon sounds random but you can not find Fanta everywhere. Was a little busy so wait time was around 15 minutes but the food was good.Prices are around average.There is parking at the front or on the side street.

Great food, a nice welcome and portion sizes and prices were both spot on. Happily go again, one of the best fish and chips (with curry!) Ive had.

We didn't eat all our food as the chips and puddings were dry and not enough gravy. That's just our opinion

Reasonably priced and great fish and chips. Only letdown was the curry sauce which was a bit strong and not the usual chippy type.

Best fish and chips we have had in years.Tasty well portioned cod with Crispy batter and perfectly cooked chips.
