Kay's Cabs

We booked Kay’s Cabs - Chris for a day excursion. Chris was outstanding! He took us to several specific destinations that we requested. He was extremely accommodating, flexible with his time, and assisted in some of the photos. The “value” cost of the ride was extremely fair. We truly enjoyed the time we were together. He also assisted us in getting our next days adventure to St. Andrew’s through Grayline Tours!

We were staying outside of Edinburgh for a special event were we needed to book transportation in advance. Kay’s Cabs was the only company out of 5 more we contacted that was easy to do the booking such ahead of time, payment online was fast and safe and the service provided that day was wonderful!!!!Thank you Kay’s cabs!!!

They charge me £33 pounds for a cab from leith to the centre 2.2 miles... yes I never asked for a price up front but a 2 mile ride and when I tried to call the main number to speak to someone about this I got no answer. Very poor indeed but I will keep calling. I got another company return journey for £13!!!!

The vehicle was spacious for the guests, but it was parked a little far away and the guests had to walk with luggage.

Christopher Kay was great. From initial communication all the way through to our trip to the airport. He was early to pick us up, helped load bags, and got us to the airport in a safe and timely manner. I would absolutely use Kay's Cabs again when we return to Scotland. Cheers!!!

A smooth ride for a nice price. Driver was congenial and helped with my luggage. Will be leaving Edinburgh at the end of August, so will probably use Kay's Cabs again.

Booked an 8 seater for a wedding. Whilst at the wedding got a call to say the car was broken and we had to have 2x 4 seater cars. But then got told we had to pay an extra £30 for them or they’d cancel our whole booking. Terrible service and really snotty people. Would not recommend

Brilliant service. Made a booking online and had great communication throughout the booking process. The day before the booking they sent an email with a photo of the driver, his phone number, car make and registration which was very reassuring. Also received a text on the day to say that the drier was on the way and when he had arrived. The car was really clean, and the driver was punctual and drove very safely. Would recommend their services.

I phoned Kay's cabs to order a car for a simple local trip, they asked me to pay the full fare in advance which I did. I gave the operator my address which the operator clearly got.Few minutes later I received a text message saying that the driver would meet me in at a 'pickup spot' around the corner from me, which was not what was agreed, then I get a call from the driver telling me to come out, I was already outside my door so I said yes and he hung up, after a couple of minutes waiting ouside I get a text saying my ride had been 'cancelled'!I then rang Kay's again and the same operator tells me the driver was at my address but I wasn't there! He blatantly refused to listen to me saying the driver's 'map' showed him at my address which was impossible.To add injury to insult when I asked for a refund he told me they would refund the fare minus £5.10 'booking fee' for a service I never received! When I complained about this the operator hung up on me and was very rude during the whole exchange.I would never call them again even if it was the last cab company on earth. Avoid at all cost.
