If this person (rob Hebdon) is still trading, DONT go any where near him. He was meant to build a large orangery to the cost of £90,000 he subtracted to do the ground works his estimate was wrong so we payed another 5,000 on top of the 20,000 deposit already paid the asked for another 35,000 as all brickwork was due to start.then he disappeared no phone calls nothing. Three weeks later he told us he had under estimated the cost and would need another £10,000 we of course refused to pay as he had about 60,000 pounds of our money and all we had to show was a concrete slab. He went away and again was impossible to contact.After a month or so he telephoned to say he was folding the company and could not afford to complete our job. We didn’t even have a back door.He knew we have a disabled son and that my husband has a heart condition,regardless he insisted he could not finish.We could not afford to take him to court and the amount was too large for a small claims court. Despite all this he continued to trade and had not closed his company at all. And there we were not even able to pay a solicitor. We did discover from company’s house that over the last decade he had changed the name of the company slightly. Gone bankrupt and started again.
