Heavy rain and bad traffic in Chingford one weekday evening brought us to the door of La Baita...and we've been doing a bit of an Italian restaurant tour in the local area recently so we thought why not!Just based on this one visit - La Baita beats all the other Italian restaurants we've been to in Wanstead, Buckhurst Hill, Chigwell, Loughton and Snaresbrook combined. We're definitely coming back.Fresh food, really attentive staff, a great menu an interesting specials board and a friendly family run atmosphere.

Absolutely amazing! Food is 100% traditional and delicious! Food you crave for when feeling like Italian. The staff provide customer service and genuine passion that you just dont come across anymore. Tried it last week and immediately re-booked to bring friends. Special shout out to Silvio and his Sicillan friend he worked alongside tonight. (Sorry don't know to spell, but he was tall and handsome)To top it off. I had a bad day and they listened and turned it around with kindness. They are busy and work their hardestRecommend 100%

Lovely local Italian restaurant with good service and great food. Good choice of pasta and pizza dishes, together with starters and desserts along with a number of specials from the blackboard. Good value for money and good size portions. First time here for me and will definitely be returning. Booking recommended as very busy mid week.

First time visiting this traditional Italian and was impressed. Service was attentive without being overbearing, food was tasty,especially the rib starter,and the atmosphere was relaxed. Good value and will be returning

Very nice Italian restaurant. Feels as if one is in good hands. I would like it if they used Free Range eggs. I do not know if they do.

Restaurant looks nice with a traditional feel, unfortunately the the starters of mussels were inedible. I believe thay came out of the freezer as the texture was sticky and had a slight smell. Main had a burnt taste throughoutthe meal, bacon was undercooked and very salty. Most disappointing was the staff, would have been nice to be offered a replacement but instead rushed the food away with out asking how the meal was.
