My mum is at five rivers, and she is very, happy here she is well looked after. The staff are friendly, hardworking and always have time to talk to you. So I would recommend this residential home to people.

Dad moved into the Five Rivers Residential Home 12 weeks ago. This is never an easy decision to make & can be very challenging. The initial move was tough for us but all of the staff working at the home did everything possible to make Dad feel at home and comfortable. He has his own lovely room and bathroom that’s kept beautifully clean and warm and safe for him.I found all of the care team and management work really hard and always manage to have a smile and time to talk to both residents and visitors at any time of the day or night.Alzheimer’s Dementia is the cruellest way to change a persons whole personality and way of life.I am grateful that we have the care that helps Dad continue to make the best of his life along with other residents suffering from from these incurable illnesses.Every day must be very challenging for the work involved keeping the residents cared for properly with the level of disability both mentally and physically having to be dealt with constantly.Five rivers residential home staff and management manage to keep the home running professionally and always manage to stay happy whilst doing so.Thank you to all!Dad has been a residence now for almost 6 months. He’s settled in really well and he’s having interaction with other residents as well as the staff & management caring for him.He has good days and sometimes not so good days which is all part of this terrible disease Alzheimer’s Dementia.I can not say thank you enough and praise the hardworking staff & managers that help Dad on this journey because without them we would be in a terrible mess.Thank you so much to all of you marvellous people that make this happen.

As a Commanding Officer at a RAF Air Cadets Squadron, I was contacted by the management to attend the care home with the RAF Cadets,We drove up from London to attend on a Sunday morning and we were greeted by the care home manger at the door and made extremely welcome, the first impressions was that the care home was very clean and homely,We were all offered a drink with toast in their dining area which was very spacious, the residents looked comfortable and content, after the breakfast, The cadets demonstrate multiple drill sequences in the homes large car park, the residents watched as they were all wrapped up in blankets and were regularly checked by careers, the careers were all attentive and made sure they were warm and snug,As the residents walked back in they were mentioning how much they enjoyed the drill and that the cadets looked very smart in their uniform,After, the cadets went in to the lounge area they sat with the residents and assisted them in decorating Christmas baubles and wooden tree decorations to hang on their trees,We were all offered fabulous homemade fish and chips and a full roast dinner followed by homemade Victoria sponge, with fresh whipped cream,The cadets then went round to all the residents in their rooms to talk to them, throughout the day we were brilliantly looked after by all the staff and they were always smiling,The whole day was a complete delight and look forward to going back,
