Cute little place in the heart of very old city. Was very busy on a Thursday night, which I think is a good sign if you are not familiar with the place. As we wanted a light meal, unfortunately we didn't try anu of the main dishes but everything that came out to our fellow dinners looked great. We had tomato and basil soup with bread, garlic mushrooms and calamari. Everything was very tasty and served fairly quick, considering that place was full. Certainly recommend to try them out and I would come back next time I visit Canterbury.

Quit a nice little eatery a minute or so from the theatre. Went on a Friday evening and sampled their set menu. The feeling you get from the menu is that of every part of the meal is made in house. This, sadly is not the case. Beetroot salad that looked and tasted like the beetroot was out of a jar, the batter on my fish was from a ready made mix. This was told to me by the time waiter as I asked if there was milk in the batter, there wasn't which fitted my lactose allergy, but still, a mix! The fish was nondescript but nicely cooked. Could have done with a couple of bits of carrot to go along with the spoonful of peas. Just for a bit of colour if nothing else. The vegan salted caramel desert I had had a texture of a commercially made torte.Overall it was OK but nothing to write home about.

Has a dessert and a coffee (I Love a Dessert and a coffee off high street in the city) - and was welcomed with good spirit, as though I was spending on the full hog. I always appreciate when a sit down restaurant welcomes a pop in without prejudice. Loved the ambience and the menu looks good, so I’ll be back for sure!

Marlowe's is a wonderful restaurant that serves up delicious food and has a great atmosphere. The staff is always friendly and attentive, and they go above and beyond to make sure that you have a great dining experience.I have been to Marlowe's loads times, andI have never been disappointed. The food is always fresh and flavorful, and the portions are generous. I especially love the steak, which is cooked to perfection every time. The wine list is also excellent, and the staff is happy to help you choose the perfect wine to pair with your meal.

First we just wanted to drink a few cold colas on this very hot summer night. We also had two dogs with us.So that happened: the Staff was amazing, they brought the dogs waterbowls wirh fresh water. So we stayed and ordered breaded halloumi with salad and chips. The food was served pretty quickly and everything was delicious, especially the salad. They didn't mind the dogs and the staff was quuckly available when we wanted to order some more drinks. They have also a few tables outside.

Lovely little restaurant. The warm beetroot salad as a starter was delightful and lovely service. The only reason not a 5 overall was that there was quite a bit of fat on the outside of my otherwise delicious steak. Would definitely visit again and happily recommend.

Had lamb chops and potato gratin - so good.I grew up in South Africa where meat - in my opinion is the best. But this restaurant does lamb chops so well and actually reminded me of home. They were well cooked and so tasty!

Came down to celebrate our anniversary and walking through the town, this place looked really cozy and welcoming. We had a selection of starters between us and they were absolutely spot on. The warm beetroot salad was particularly gorgeous and the garlic bread was the softest bread I've ever eaten. My husband had the steak and he said it was cooked to perfection, although a little tough. I had the seabass and it melted in my mouth.Service was exceptional and attentive, not too slow and we weren't pestered throughout our meal.We sat outside and really enjoyed people watching and soaking up the atmosphere around us.Really reasonably priced. For 4 starters, 2 mains a cocktail and 2 drinks we spent £70
