The Swettenham Arms
Was a lovely pub, with 1 vegan option (on Sunday) which was really quite good.Nut roast with lots of veg and gravy. Delicious.The service was pretty good, just a lack of signs or directions as to how this pubs works. It appears that you can sit anywhere you want, but they only do food in certain sections (terrace and inside)Dog friendly.Overall quite good, with a tweak, it could be 5 stars. Maybe app ordering would allow a larger service area so staff can focus on clearing and delivering meals.

The Swettenham Arms
The staff make this place what it is. Very dog friendly pub, we went on a quiet night but get the feeling the staff would have been just as attentive had it been packed. The chap behind the bar overheard us discussing what drinks we were going to order and started preparing them before we even walked up to the bar. Menu was balanced with lots of options for all tastes - healthier choices and naughty in equal measure. Would definitely recommend.

The Swettenham Arms
We ordered food and drinks which came in a reasonable time frame, piping hot and which I really enjoyed too. Service from the staff was excellent, polite, and friendly. The place itself was clean with plenty of seating areas inside and out. Good size car park, so no issues with parking. Even on a bike night. So I took the opportunity and checked out all the old bikes that had turned up, which made it even better .

This place is such a wonderful treat, great food and service! The food is always very good too! I do enjoy the steak and ale pie, but the fish and chips are a nice choice too! The food is always very filling and well portioned so if your a light eater, splitting might not hurt! And don’t forget to go check out the garden behind the restaurant! It makes for a nice walk, and bring some change, they have a suggested donation to enter.

What a fabulous pub - all of the staff that I dealt with were exceptional - a real credit to any establishment. The bar maid was very bright and bubbly and made us very welcome. The waitress was very helpful indeed and the lady that took our payment was full of fun. Top marks to these 3 ladies.Good selection of beers and the food that we ordered was delivered quickly and was excellent.Highly recommend a visit to this outstanding pub.

We drove from Newcastle-under-Lyme as we wanted a nice country pub, found The Swettenham Arms on Google and I'm so glad we did, the service was tip top, the food was unreal, I love a traditional Sunday roast and this was that and more. I will highly recommend this to my friends and family and we will certainly be back! Thanks guys!

Everything about the pub was perfect apart from the portion size. We had a Sunday roast with a side. 3 pigs in blankets for 4 people. 1 small yorkshire pudding. Only a spec of stuffing. The food tasted amazing, just not enough. This made the pricing seem outrageous as we had to stop on the way home to buy more food. However I would go again, just being more careful of what I order.

The Swettenham Arms
Great meal for 4 of us, booked two days in advance which was a good move as it was nice and busy on a Wednesday. Food was delicious, the fire stove was lit, service from Holly and Jensen was superb and the restaurant was beautifully decorated. We’ve been in summer when it’s pretty outside, and it was just appealing in winter near Christmas. We will be back.
