The best steak pies we have ever tasted full of meat, their marinated chickens wonderful, their stir fry Chinese dishes better than restaurants, cannot fault any of their meats. Also try next door always fresh fish.

We used to go weekly to get a large amount of meat.I purchased 16 chicken breasts, 2 bags went in the freezer, the next day one of the bags were totally off and smelt extremely bad. I contacted them through there form on the website, and never got a reply. Its a shame as they are so local. But would not use again

Always very nice and helpful staff.Especially the man I'm sorry never got his name worked at the Butchers in North gate St.He dealt with my Mum, and he knew how to cut chicken up properly in quarters and package it very nicely. Not like some of them who hack it! We have not been in for a while. Mum always liked this butchers.Good customer service with a smile!Win and Nicola.

Brilliant.We travel quite a way to get here.The boerewors, biltong, droewors devine.We always pick a pork pie ( plain or Apple), sausage roll (the Bombay one is quite something).A butcher is not a butcher if their meat was not excellent, this is what makes it for us.. have not had any meat joints that were tough or tasteless.I will keep coming back.Prices very reasonable too!

I would never have imagined myself describing a butchers as a sweet shop but the incredible variety at S J Bebbington butchers of Chester certainly gives that feeling. From Asian marinades to African style meats, this butcher has enough of a tasty selection to please the most fussy of meat eaters.The service doesn't stop at good food though as the staff are always friendly and happy to help regardless of how busy they are. I have been recommending this place to all my friends and will continue to do so. In the likely case that you become a regular customer then don't forget to ask for a free loyalty card!

Bought some nice S.A. sausage and biltong. Will be having their black pudding, eggs and black back bacon for breakfast tomorrow xxx. Pork pies are to die for, and steak and kidney, sausage rolls, chicken and leek pie very good. Polite and friendly staff. Congratulations on the Golden Cleaver win.

Popped in to buy some sausages. Ended up with sausages, Bacon, Blackpudding and a quiche! Sausages and Bacon were amazing, the Blackpudding you have to try. The prices were reasonable for the quality, the place is spotless the staff very friendly. I would thoroughly recommend this butcher, I will definitely be going back

We are so very lucky to have this shop nearby - Its an absolute gem!I could spend all day in there just browsing. The display is exceptional and meticulous.... with a tremendous choice of top quality and very fresh products.The service is also exceptional - just like the 'good ole days' - nothing is too much trouble .... with advice on how to cook readily available and willingly given.... and purchases carefully packed for one to take away. A lovely, friendly atmosphere prevails.They absolutely deserve their awards and recognition!

Outstanding high quality meat, wonderful staff. They also sell their own pies and pre prepared dishes, fabulous local cheese and eggs. It’s so much more pleasurable to shop locally and support independent traders.
