The Mountain Bike Trails here are excellent, they do not get waterlogged so good to ride in most weathers well maintained by excellent local trail association, volunteers. There are 3 main trails none of which I would say are suitable for novice riders so ride with care.

The Hemlock Stone or Himlack Stone is an inselberg on Stapleford Hill at Stapleford, Nottinghamshire, England. Protected by an iron fence. Easy to walk up to and offers a view of the Bramcote Walled garden opposite. An information board gives further information about the stone.

It's definitely earned its title as largest stone in Nottingham! Very beautiful and truly a wonder to behold. It's got a little fence thing surrounding it so you can't fully access the stone but it's probably for the best. Would 10/10 recommend visiting hemlock stone- just note it's on quite a steep hill!

Even on a sunny summer day, it has a dark and mystic presence. Rationality says that it is a geological feature, but the legends seem plausible when you're there. It is threatened by the saplings growing on it. Would the authorities please carefully cut them back to say one foot, scrape the bark and apply SBK brushwood killer with a paint brush.

A beautiful sacred space, zimming with natural energy.Very steep and paths are narrow and gravelled. Great spot for a calming short walk.

Nice area, wish there was a designated car park and it's a shame the main road passes right at the side of the woods. I parked at Bramcote Park and then wandered across to visit the Hemlock Stone. The area is very hilly so might not be suitable for some people. There's a board with some information and history on the place which is very interesting. Area is very clean and on the whole enjoyed walking my dogs here.

Great place for mountain biking. Other users are always friendly in my experience. Some great lines for beginners and the more advanced as well as the jump section at the bottom.Always clean and pretty rubbish free up there too.
