I had my hair cut by Julian last month and I had a very bad experience which I am still upset by. I have very long curly hair and I asked for the length to be taken off but I said I still wanted to be able to tie it up in a pony tail and that it should sit at shoulder length when dry. I advised Julian that the front section was very curly and would bounce up a lot and so not to cut it shorter than the rest of my hair. After a month of growth my hair is still only chin length and the front section is up by my cheeks. I cannot tie it up and I have been left with a style that does not suite me. The front sections are so short they are like a fringe. This is very distressing. Before I left the salon I told Julian that it was much shorter than I asked for. He agreed but said he thought 'it was a good haircut'.

Julian is the go-to for curly hair cuts in Cambridge. An absolute craftsman who has given cuts that complement my hairline and face structure better than cuts I've received at high-end curly hair salons in Los Angeles and New York City! Really friendly guy, too, easy to chat with. Does all his bookings via phone call, and I've had only positive experiences getting or rescheduling appointments. I cannot recommend Julian highly enough!!!

Best barber and hairdresser in Cambridge. Julian is a one man show so don't expect a massive salon or dozens of assistants but you do get personal attention in a chic, relaxing environment. Accept no substitutes.

I really like Julian. He is my favourite barber in the UK. I have been there a few times and he never disappoints. Would definitely come back.Tip: If you are from outside the UK, bring a postcard from your home country with you. Julian has quite the collection around his mirror.
