Arlo & Jacob Sofas Bristol

Much like a previous reviewer, I ordered a large Holmes sofa after trying it out in the Bristol showroom. When delivered, I found it impossibly to lie comfortably across the sofa as the cushions seem understuffed compared to those I tried in the shop, and the join of the two-piece frame at the base protrudes painfully through. After lengthy discussions customer service a technician was sent out who weighed the cushions and insisted that it was not a fault. They have offered to sell me a different filling instead, saying that it is the nature of feather cushions that they need daily plumping. However that is not my experience of good feather sofas and even with plumping my sofa is uncomfortable. Very disappointing at this price point. Wouldn't buy from Arlo&Jacob again.

I would be cautious ordering anything from this company. They were quick to take our money, our sofa was meant to arrive 3 weeks ago as per the leading times we were advised of when placing an order at Bristol showroom. Customer service is nonexistent, bunch of people who don't really care!

We recently visited the Whiteladies Road showroom, the 2 members of staff were extremely helpful and friendly.The showroom is presented beautifully with some interesting sofas and loads of fabrics to choose from too.We loved the Ferdinand and Oliver sofas, we will be back again to order!

We bought 2 Leon sofas from Bristol branch in Nov 2022. The fabric recommended by the staff turned out to be the wrong type for this particular model, as the piping around the cushions went all funny. They offered fabric exchange with no fuss and get the fabric changed. Now my sofas look absolutely stunning. I highly recommend them as they offer the best quality and the most timeless sofa designs in the UK in my opinion. They are an independent business with big ambitions. They take care of their customers and strive to deliver a truly exceptional product.

We ordered a large Henry sofa after a visit to the shop in Bristol. Unfortunately, it seemed the sofa that was delivered had fewer feathers in the bottom cushion than the one we tried in the show room. Unfortunately, when sitting in the middle of the sofa within a few minutes you are able to feel the padded base below the cushion. A technician visited and insisted it was normal and that we would have to plump it up each day. I have ordered 20kg of loose feathers at our own expense to see if this helps. Not great for a premium brand.

After a chance visit, we stumbledUpon this beautiful store today. Lovely furniture and the lady who took time to show us around and explain their product range couldn’t have been more attentive. Looking forward to coming back and chosing the right sofas for us very soon.

Well I found buying a sofa from Arlo & Jacob to be a most enjoyable experience the staff were helpful the sofa is of good quality. It arrived when it was suggested it would in good condition and at a fair price. I am pleased with the product the store and the serviceMy sofa appears to have the number of feathers in the cushions I was expecting although I admit not to have counted them.

Terrible experience here: A&J sent us the wrong colour sofa. After calling to try to resolve, we were assured that it was their error when submitting the order, and that rest assured they would resolve it. Since then, the Managing Director went back on their word, blamed us for the issue by saying it was our fault for not noticing the colour mistake in the order confirmation. Completely unreasonable and a highly stressful experience, & we are now stuck with a sofa we did not orderUPDATE: They are now resolving the issue, will update review when resolved

Disappointed with the sofa we purchased for over £2100. The design of the inner cushion means that the back cushion constantly releases feathers. After informing A&J they offered to replace the whole cushion for £175 rather than resolve the issue. Pretty poor customer service.

Worst customer service imaginable. We received our sofa in the wrong colour because the order had been put through incorrectly by a staff member. We raised the issue with customer service and after being assured that the fault lied with them and would be rectified, the managing director said that they weren't going to resolve the issue after all because it was our fault for not noticing the colour mistake in the order confirmation. Now we are stuck with a sofa we didn't order, and are being told we won't be getting the one we wanted.
