Phil fixed our boiler in no time. He was able to quickly diagnose the problem ( we had no heating or hot water) and then had all the necessary things to fix it with. He texted to let me know when he was on his way and was very reasonable. We will be using him again and highly recommend to anyone else.Dec 2021 - Phil has again given us excellent service - he replaced 2 radiators for us and managed to trouble shoot what could have been a potentially tricky problem left by a previous plumber. He always arrives at the time we have agreed, explains everything he is doing and does the job to a high standard. Highly recommended.

I'm very impressed and what a brilliant experience!! Phil is amazing very knowledgeable and experienced. I'm a new customer I haven't used Phil before I had a problem with my boiler and he sorted it for me. He is extremely approachable I will definitely be using him again I feel at ease now knowing I have someone reliable, lives local and knows his stuff 100% would recomend him he is very very good and genuine.

I contacted Wonderfuel Gas (Phil Josey) because I needed a new boiler installed. I read the good reviews so I felt confident. Phil was able to come the same day which was great. He was punctual. The visit went well and he was was courteous and professional. He soon sent me a quote by email. The quote included £900 for the boiler. Up to this point all seemed above board. He asked for £1800 payment upfront which I found unusual but he explained that as a one-man business he needs to do this which I accepted reluctantly. Just out of precaution/curiosity I checked the price of exactly the same boiler online and the average cost was around £650. Therefore, I gently and politely asked Phil about this because I was genuinely confused about the price difference. He promptly explained to me that the cheaper ones may be soiled, no/limited warranty or refurbished. That seemed like a reasonable explanation so I probed a little further to discover that £650 INCLUDES 5 year warranty and they are new, not second hand. This started to ring alarm bells so I emailed Phil seeking clarification as I always give people the benefit of the doubt. I couldn't obtain a clear and transparent answer and I felt disappointed and frustrated. I then asked him to please send me the order/invoice sheet showing me the cost he pays for the boiler. He said he is unable to do that on the grounds he has a confidential agreement" with his supplier. My conclusion was that he put a big mark up on the boiler to make extra money. I found this approach very dishonest and unethical (it's just my view) and asked him more questions about it. He replied that I should not scrutinize his work and just accept the price. This really put me off. He took the initiative by offering me the refund of the £1800 which he did the next day after a phone call to remind him. I have no reason to doubt the workmanship or knowledge of this gentleman but I do not want to pay £2000 to a business who is not prepared to explain the costs and give a detailed breakdown. There is no problem at all for customers who don't query the costs. I have done my best to be as factual and fair in this review. Of course

Phil arrived and diagnosed the problem with our boiler same day. He was friendly and up front about his reasonable charges and carried out the work efficiently. Very pleased to have found someone local and reliable for this kind of work. Would definitely recommend.

Phil was very helpful and friendly. He fixed our gas oven within minutes of arriving and then took a look at a non-functioning shower as well. He has extensive knowledge and doesn’t bombard you with “jargon”!! Thanks Phil - I’m sure we’ll be using your services again!

It could not be better. Phil came round and gave an honest assessment of our options. He was pragmatic and took the time to explain the options, the risks and the alternatives. He quoted promptly and comprehensively. He was responsive and helpful throughout the process. Phil started work when he said he would, carried out the work in the order he said he would and finished when he said he would. The quality of the work was high. Phil has been with us for over 5 years, since we moved to New Malden. Throughout the years he helped solving different issues: a broken boiler, leaking taps and pipes, radiators playing up etc. He also does the boiler annual check up. He is very reliable, clear about pricing, good value for money and a great professional. Totally recommended.

Phil helped diagnose a faulty old boiler in our rental property and price the repair. In the end we decided it was better to replace it in full with a new unit which Phil was able to turn around quickly for our tenant who was without hot water. The new unit is working fantastically and I'm thankful that you was able to help especially as I am remote from the property. Much appreciated. Excellent service and pricing.

I found myself with a boiler issue on a Saturday night, in the middle of December and a cold wave, and the boiler brand engineer wasn’t going to be able to visit until the Tuesday. I came across Phil online and called him (during an England World Cup game!) and he was so very kind, willing to talk me through things to try and ways I could go about it via video call when he really didn’t have to do that, having not been the person who installed it. Hugely appreciated, thank you Phil, would highly recommend!
