Check in is not till 4pm and the hot tubs are physically locked shut at 9:30pm. If you wish to have dinner in the restaurant, that will cut your hot tub time in half. It’s open again at 8am and checkout is at 11am. So again, if you wish to have breakfast, you’re cutting down your time in the tub. After 9:30pm the only thing to do is go spend more money in the bar or stay in your room.Area outside the pods is not covered so chances are, your seats will be soaked in the Irish rain. Fingers crossed you are lucky with the weather. Some tubs didn’t seem very private & staff frequently walking along lakeshore past us in the tub & in our room.£100 security deposit taken upon check-in. Bring cash or you’ll be waiting a while for it to be refunded to your card. One positive was that the restaurant was very good, if a little cramped. All in all, an expensive lesson.

Loved every minute we spent here, so relaxing! Fabulous self catering cabin by the lake shore with private hot tub overlooking some unreal views. The resort is so well kept, and delicious food in the restaurant. Loved the indoor / outdoor bar aslo with its relaxed chilled vibe. Will definitely be back.

The views are stunning and the surrounding area around the cabin is world class. The bar and dining areas are also top class.Receptionist and bar, restaurant staff etc. Are very good. However the room was too small, roasting with no air conditioning and no windows. Taps were too high pressured and soaked everything in a second. Storage space was poor and bed/sofa really uncomfortable. In general between the poor quality mattress and heat it's impossible to sleep. The food was so poor it was really unbelievable. The dinner was so poor. Make sure you get an early booking as you get rushed if you booked later by the staff to get you out ASAP. The quality of the food was disgusting. The chicken we got was burnt and tasted of charcoal it was that blasted in the deep fat fryer. The other pieces we got like the chips and onion rings where covered in grease, worst than any take away in the country. The breakfast the next day was also terrible. You get charged extra for a latte for a starter. The food is stone cold and the hash browns look the best item to take but tasted of cereal sitting in milk for too long. The eggs are like plastic. It's the most processed disgusting food about. Stomach was done in bits the night/day after from eating the terrible items presented.Overall to pay 300+ for poor food, a sauna for accommodation and a hot tub isn't worth it.

My wife and I stayed for two night for our anniversary and the whole experience was fantastic, only down side is no cover for the hot tubs when it rains but other than that everything was great from the service to the food, would definitely come back.

Shockingly poor customer service. The evening meal is served in a characterless lodge, with wall paneling more suitable to a shower enclosure than a fine dining restaurant.Breakfast, which is pre-cooked and dispensed from cloches (which where mostly left open at the time of our visit) was at best luke warm, with the potato bread and soda bread bordering inedible. Two Stars overall, unfortunately the magnificent setting and fantastic outdoor facilities are not enough to warrant a return visit anytime soon.

My and my fiancee stayed here this weekend for her 40th birthday. This place is something else. Both dinner and breakfast was outstanding. The love music in the bar was fantastic, and had everyone up dancing, having a great time and the bar lady was so nice to us too. The reception staff were also lovely. Can't wait to go back. Thank you

Stayed here for my birthday on Friday, 11th August. Check-in was smooth. We had booked a luxury lakeside cabin with early check-in & late check out. The package we booked included a 3 course meal and breakfast. Our cabin was clean & warm along with our hot tub. What you would expect for £353 for a one night stay. Our problems came with our dinner reservation. I had ordered the steak with £10 supplement. I had asked for the pepper sauce on the side in case my other half may wish to eat. I have a lactose intolerance and wasn't planning on eating. Steak came with sauce on the side as requested. He didn't want any more sauce, so it went back to the kitchen untouched when I had finished my meal. I had ordered the only vegan dessert on the menu as I can't have lactose. When the dessert arrived, I asked if it was vegan. My server said if that's what you ordered, that's what it will be. I started to eat the chocolate torte and again asked another server if it was definitely vegan. His response was that it was vegan. My tummy started to hurt, and I knew instantly that the dessert I was given wasn't vegan. My other half asked one of the servers to go directly to the chef and ask was my dessert the vegan one that I had ordered. Our server came back and said no, it wasn't vegan as the chef looked at our order and didn't think we needed a vegan dessert. The chef said I had pepper sauce on my steak but failed to see it went back to the kitchen untouched. We spoke to the manager and explained what had happened and how it was very poor when people have serious allergies. He took £15 of our bill. That was the end to my birthday after being poisoned and drinking water for most of the evening to flush it out of the stomach.Breakfast time, we had issues when I asked for a dairy alternative milk for tea. Our server told me she thought they had a gluten-free one. She didn't quite understand the difference between gluten and dairy. These young people working in the restaurant clearly have no allergens training, nor does the chef. This place has the potential to be fabulous if the right training was provided. All in all, we spent roughly £500 for a night's stay with drinks we had at the bar & extras on dinner. This, in my eyes, was a total waste of money as I never got to fully enjoy my birthday treat as it was ruined by lack of staff training.

Unbelievable experience! Food and service was 10/10. Beautiful view of the lough right at our feet. Hot tubs were easy to use and the cabin was cosy and well kept. Me and my other half will definitely be back again.

Booked our own personal hot tub but come to find out your not allowed in it past 9.30pm and ended up losing my deposit money because of it. Tried explaining what happened to the manager but he was cheeky and not listening. Seemed ok to spend loads of money at this place and 1 mistake happened so they take more. Live music ended eaely and bar closed early on a saturday night too. Have been here a few times but after my latest stay I will not be back.

I regret to say that our recent stay at the Rossharbour resort in their Bridal Suite was far from the experience we had hoped for. While we anticipated a fun and luxurious stay, our time at the was marred by a series of unfortunate incidents and a disappointing lack of response from the staff.Upon arriving at the suite, we were initially enchanted by its charm and ambiance. However, our enchantment turned into alarm when we woke up in the middle of the night to the unsettling sound of scratching. To our astonishment, we turned on the lights to find a bat climbing up the curtain and then darting around the room. Seeking refuge under the duvet and overcome by shock, we decided to move to another room within the suite. After moving, we promptly notified the reception via email about the unsettling encounter with the bat. Our concerns grew when we discovered the following morning that the room had not been properly cleaned. Stained bed sheets and dirty floors were not the kind of surprises we expected in the luxurious Bridal Suite. We reached out to the reception staff the next morning to express our dissatisfaction and concern about the state of the room. Unfortunately, their response was dishearteningly unsympathetic. Nonetheless, the staff did send someone to the suite, who proceeded to open all the windows.A few days later, we received an email from the resort in response to our complaint. The tone of the email was again disappointingly unsympathetic, and it offered no acknowledgment of our discomfort or a gesture of goodwill. This lack of concern for our experience left us feeling disheartened and unsupported as guests. While we understand that nature can find its way into any setting, it was the combination of the unexpected bat encounter, the unclean room, and the indifferent response from the hotel that led us to write this review. We had hoped for a memorable stay in the Bridal Suite, but our experience was overshadowed by the issues we encountered and the hotel's inadequate response. It is with a heavy heart that I write this review, as we had anticipated a different and more enjoyable experience during our stay. We believe that clear communication, a prompt and understanding response, and a proactive approach to addressing concerns are essential elements of a positive guest experience. Unfortunately, our experience at the Rossharbour resort fell short in these regards. Other than that the setting is beautiful and facilities around the site are great, we hope others have a more positive experience.
