We have just completed a tenement common roofing repair with Slate Surgeons in the Northside of Edinburgh. Slate Surgeons are a thoroughly professional contracting firm, with a high standard of workmanship and show good attention to construction detail, together with a very efficient administration back-up in support. As Stair Convener for this communal repair, I would have no problem in recommending Slate Surgeons to others for this type of project.

We felt really lucky to find Slate Surgeons, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. They came and looked at our roof, provided us with a report (including phots of the areas that needed attention) and very reasonable quote. All the work was carried out to a high standard and throughout the process there was excellent communication about anticipated start dates, etc.

I recently used Slate Surgeons to repair a leak and overall maintenance of the roof. The quote was competitive and detailed. Communication was excellent, ensuring I understood the repairs needed and that everything was completed. Mike always arrived on time and kept me updated with progress. I can’t recommend Slate Surgeons enough. Mike, Debs and team have helped me and other family over the past couple of years with roof window repairs, advice and installing a new chimney. Always very professional and an excellent standard of work. There are a lot of other much less dependable roofing businesses around so its great to have found these guys. It helps too that they are very nice people!

Really responsive company, great communications, came quickly and solved our issue along with advice on the condition of our 80+ year old slate roof including photographs enclosed with invoice.Great value for money and we feel in good hands with honest appraisal of what is an older roof with age-related issues starting to show. Noticed that they had been doing some work locally and so asked if they'd be able to clear a gutter and check out my roof at the top of a tenement. One week later the work was done and communication via email worked very well. Debs and colleague (sorry, forgot his name) arrived as expected and we left them to do the job. Rather them than me, hanging down ropes! Anyway, they provided a video of a solution to a problem we'd been having and the invoice contained excellent photos of the whole. Will use again. Great to find a dependable company as there are a lot of cowboys in the roofing trade.
