I visited this depot for business reasons and found all of the staff I had contact with very accommodating. In all, a great site to visit.

Grumpy security, until signed in, then lighted up, good sized depot with the DP having a good hands on approach

I usually park my train at Heaton Depot after a long journey. They allow parking for up to 12 hours and the train-park seems to be safe, I’ve had no issues with other trains bumping into me. There’s a lovely little hotel with a pub hidden away if you need to stay the night behind the big trees.
