We stumbled into this cafe, knowing nothing about it, when we arrived in Ludlow. It was half an hour before they closed, they close quite early. However we didn't feel rushed, within minutes a beautifully presented plate of sandwiches came up, they tasted good too. A lovely first experience in this beautiful town, their bread, cakes and pastries looked good too the next time we passed by.

This place was cash only so it’s worth noting we didn’t actually buy anything. The products looked good if not rather expensive.The staff in the shop seemed very unfriendly and rather unimpressed with our presence. Our children wanted us to make the effort to get cash out and return but given the disdain at which were were greeted we decided not to bother and used the competition.

Cash only. Card payments not accepted. I was told that I can go to get the cash from the ATM machine. Go figure!

Service wasn’t great and very rude. Beef and vegetable pasty was ok, they warm up all hot food in the microwave so not sure how fresh they are. Won’t be rushing back anytime soon.

The wholemeal loaf was black burnt all around. I had to scrape the black off before using it!

Cash only - this reflects the fact that it is a traditional bakery with great bread, sandwiches etc. Could not have been more welcoming - we are in although only 3 tables

Prices Bakery are an award-winning family bakery in Ludlow with a long tradition of producing traditional English and Continental breads. We visited at the end of October 2022 and enjoyed tea coffee and a delicious Belgium Bun shared between 3 of us. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
