Russell Foster Football Centre

The football pitches were spot on but some one needs to put the white lines down properly there was no small box side the goal and the big box was to small for the size of the pitch and no corner flags up.

Poor quality pitches. Akin to playing in bomb craters or around a baseball mound.Given the fees charged by the league the fact they can't maintain their own pitches to a decent standard is incredibly disappointing.It's an injury waiting to happen.

Absolutely diabolical pitches for the subscriptions they are getting! Desperately needs improving

These pitches aren't the best, on one occasion the lines couldn't be seen and as my son was playing, another pitch was busy being marked out, in a hurry after matches had finished on that pitch. Lines should've been in place for Saturday morning. Secondly and much more importantly these are so many holes just off the pitches, some are 12 deep and pose a real danger to the children as they are sometimes run off the pitch during a tackle etc. It a child were to put their foot down one of these holes whilst running they could easily break a leg or ankle. I Noticed that some had been partially filled with sand which will blow away and grass will not grow on sand. These holes need to be properly repaired with soil and turf and regularly checked to ensure new growth of grass and that they do not pose a safety issue. These holes have been there for at least that last 3 seasons my son has played there so it is very apparent that nothing is being done to remedy a clear danger to children playing on these pitches. I did complain to a lady on the desk there last Saturday

Very disappointed with the Russell Foster Centre. First time here with my sons football team today from Darlington. Very poor pitch. Bumpy and grass was not cut short enough. The lines were barely visible and the ref couldn't see when the ball was out off play. The goals were droopy in the middle and had they been straight we would have lost the game. Too our advantage but not fair to the other team. Very poor for an established football centre.

Great work to entertain kids football. Pity we will lose this to more houses. TBH it's shocking newbottle will lose more green fields to development.

Loads of outside pitches ,plenty parking but does get really wet so if the weather has been typically British best bring your wellies

Seen a coach shouting at little girls making them cry ( boarder line child abuse). Being abusive with the ref , going on the pitch with threatening behaviour.Rang Russell foster and they simply were not interested. Had to pay £50 to make a compliment,Just another example of putting the adults before the children.This is just simply not acceptable in the modern day.You need to stand down , your time is doneThanks but jog on

Very good walking dog routes around the football ground

Good pitches if it's not raining or windy as your out in the open. Think the pitches could be a little spread out a bit to avoid the ball spilling onto the other teams game...Nice touch with the burger van there to get a coffee or some food.
