Reserved space but was none available

It was great to park there. The rate was good and the location was convenient.However, i paid for few hours and exit the car park few mins later. Instead of asking to pat maybe for those extra minutes they sent me a fine at home for £60 to be paid within 14 days or 100 after 14 days.In the pandemic where people lost jobs, don’t have any income and all they want is to make money themselves.I’d park somewhere far and walk then park in their car park.

The operating time of the payment machine is too slow. I need to use it for ~10 minutes . I paid 2 hrs car park fee first, then I added one more hour. later, i got the parking charge notice which show amount paid is 2 hrs only. Finally, the notice show my stay duration is around 3 hrs and 1 min. I need to pay £100 or £60 if paid earlier. Their time was counted by CCTV camera. @_@

I use this for my work van but would never leave my car here as people will park to close. I've had my mirror hit and the side off my van scraped, there is alway broken glass too so I think a lot of cars get broken into.. also the payment machine is often broken.

Great parking spot for £2.50/hour. Convenient parking; 3min walk to Arndale Shops and other major retail shops nearby.

Plan your trip. Book and pay in advance. No barrier system so no guaranteed parking space. What a joke.

Horrible experience. At first this was a great place to park as it's really convenient to get to the stores, but if you pay for an hour, you better be out the barrier by the hour! I came at 10:16 and paid for 2 hours for £4 and I got back to the car but had to take a phone call but didn't want to drive whilst talking because 1. It was raining and 2. cause I'm a responsible adult. But I just got a ticket through the door because I left the parking site at 12:30. So remember everyone you better be out the parking site in exactly 1 hour if not you'll get the £100 notice to your door!

Awful customer experience. The company that manages the ANPR system claims that a barrier-less system such as employed at this RCP car park improves the customer experience. It doesn't. All this achieves is more revenue for the company through fines. We were late leaving by 20 minutes (paid for three hours) and received a £100 fine through the post.What would be a better experience is if the company would request the additional £2 we were meant to pay for overstaying and then fining us if we failed to make payment. Instead, we were left with a fine and it's not clear just how the system would work in the event one was to purchase an additional hour ticket for being late leaving. Would a new one hour ticket work to boost our available time to make a four-hour slot or would it simply start a new hour and the system would still detect our vehicle as being late when leaving for the initial allotted time?Barriers take approximately five to ten seconds to open and close for a vehicle. It's a far better solution than not having them and not having a clear system for customers to enjoy. This way, it allows one to take as long as they require and then pay for parking before exiting, instead of guessing how long they plan to be parked.

Be very careful with this car park, managed by people very willing to charge you up to £100 for begin 10 minutes late on a prepaid 4 hour ticket. It’s also very unsafe to leave your car overnight here
