I ordered delivery via Just Eats. They called to say my original dish was unavailable due to fryer failure. No problem: we swapped for a plain burger - with a clear explanation that that meant just a burger in a bun with no sauce/cheese/salad. I cannot eat cheese. It arrived and the burger was covered in cheese! The bread and butter was just bread : no butter! Had 5 attempts to call them before they answered and they said there was nothing they could do about it and just to complain to Just Eat. Totally awful service.

I landed here for dinner after quitting my usual Toby's carvery because they were fully booked. And right now I'm very glad I did it, because it turned out to be definitely better!I had the carvery (standard option), and comparing to what I knew (from Toby's) it was a more pleasant experience.The food is good and fairly priced, the perceived quality is good, the staff is helpful, and the place was not too busy.The only thing that's less positive is the fact that there is a wait here to be seated" sign at the entrance

We had my daughters 18th on 28th October. Josh, Alyssa,Matt and team made us feel so welcome. They even put our decorations up before we arrived in the evening.The food was great and the atmosphere was lovely. The team were brilliant and nothing was too much for them. We and the birthday girl had a great night. We will definitely continue our custom. Thank you xx

Was served by a gentleman named John he had a lovely old soul and had an awesome sense of humour made me and my family feel very welcome and they giggled the whole night. It was my mums birthday and he made it special. Such great customer service. He should get a pay rise as I have been there a couple times and he’s always working so hard. Food was great too

JR was a warm welcome with swift seating. The crew have been exceptionally friendly and bubbly. Ratings to the chefs for sweating it out in the kitchen to deliver a post festival performance treat!I will be back soon

They were out of fish when I went, so we did the carvery.I did the large, and my friend did the standard.Just go for the turkey and beef, skip the ham, they were so tender, juicy, and cooked so well. You can load up your plate with all the sides you want. Everything is good, and loadup on the delicious gravy... Skip the pigs in a blanket and pay for extra Yorkshire pudding.When you arrive, you get a table, then have to go up to the bar to place your order and pay. A little unusual for North Americans but fairly regular for UK folks.

Sad to be writing this review as I've previously had good experiences here but-My partner and I went here on my birthday for a meal and left massively disappointed and unimpressed.We both had halloumi starters- dry rubbery small pieces with the funniest cheapest sweet chilli sauce. I had the carvery- good value for money as you can have as much as you can fit on your plate, but aside from that, the parsnips were burned, broccoli and carrots tasted of nothing, beef was somehow both fatty and chewy. Pigs in blankets dry and crunchy, onion gravy was regular gravy with raw bits of onion floating round in it and approximately the temperature of the centre of the sun (Which I burnt myself on).The worst part was my wife ordered a simple chicken escallop meal and ended up waiting almost an hour for it. I ended up having to chase a waiter down to get it and when they brought it out it had obviously just been sat ignored under the hotlight as it was dry, stuck to the plate, and morphed into one with the garlic mushrooms. Not to mention the sub par measure of peppercorn sauce that had a thick greasy skin on it. The cherry on the cake was recieving a 2/3 full glass when ordering a soft drink.Was originally super excited to go for your usual great range of cake for desert but I'd lost my appetite by the end of the main. Just disappointed more than anything else honestly. Staff and atmosphere were lovely just a shame about the food.
