What a great service by these guys. They’ve got great experts and very friendly service. We had our Twins scan of 16 weeks, came out very clear and well detailed. I would choose over and over again

I am sure if nothing is wrong, the experience here is just fine.Unfortunately, that was not the case for us. Our baby had no heartbeat, which was devastating to hear.We were given the contact number to Pregnancy Support Unit at the Royal Infirmary, which was nice, but the Babes in the Womb sonographer had no idea how to show empathy.She told us it was hard but we needed to move on.She then exited the room, leaving the door open, rather than closing it to give us time to process and grieve in privacy.This very much stands in contrast with our visit at the Royal where the sonographer confirmed the terrible news, and then told us she would leave us alone for a bit so we could grieve alone.Edit: The co-owner Darren called and apologized, saying the measures they have in place for scenarios like this weren't followed. He's going to contact the staff to make sure they're aware.

We had a scan here end of may. The appointment was running late however the girl on the desk apologised and was very polite. The sonographer was rushed and didn’t seem much interested. The pictures given were all unclear but as mentioned not much time was taken to get a good once, we were told it was a girl to later find out it was actually a boy however this is something you must be prepared for when having a gender scan, but I did wonder if a little more time had been taken if it would still have been the case. I have attached the picture from the scan.The booking system online was easy and the receptionist friendly. The facilities were clean and it had free parking.

I had my scan here for my son in 2019. We opted for the gold package and I’m so glad we did! The experience from start to finish was amazing, I felt so comfortable and the lovely sonographer answered all of our questions. We opted to find out the sex and it still continues to be one of the most special moments in my life that I will always cherish. We picked a cute little plush elephant which we still have with our son’s heartbeat in it along with his movie, keyrings and 4D pictures. I loved it that much that I have booked the gold package for my sister who is a first time mum and I’m confident she will have the best experience too.We will definitely be coming back to Babes in the womb when we have another.

I’ve come here twice since I’ve been pregnant, and both experiences were great. All of the staff made me feel at ease, especially as I have had a few scares during my pregnancy. Highly recommended. It’s a very relaxing atmosphere, and the sonographers really know what they are doing. Thank you so much!

I attended Babes in the Womb in Edinburgh and although it was nice to go from a reassurance perspective, I was disappointed by the 4d experience. The main issue was around the sonographer not being particularly engaging- periods of not talking and just generally felt quite flat. However once I shared this review with the owner Darren he was so apologetic and keen to extend an offer for us to return so that we could hopefully have a very different experience. We had two further repeat scans due to babies position not being ideal and the sonographers were warm, engaging and enthusiastic . It felt like a very different experience and instilled our excitement again

A very pleasant experience having a 12 week scan here. Friendly service from Darren from start to finish who was very knowledgeable and accommodating which made our experience very comforting and meant we could enjoy our visit. The sonographer was very kind and helpful during the scan as we had an active baby, she was patient and took her time to reassure us, answer all questions and get a clear scan photo we could take home. A very clean, tidy and relaxing environment, I would highly recommend a visit!Thanks again!Emma & Connor

We had a great experience getting early reassurance scans and a gender reveal scan many weeks later at Babes In The Womb. Reception staff were incredibly friendly and build up our excitement prior to entering the scan room to see our little baby. The sonographers were really friendly and took time to explain what we could see on the screen and even zoomed in" on the baby’s heartbeat which you could hear over speakers in the room. It was amazing! We came out of the scans really reassured that out baby is growing well and felt so comfortable in such a warm and welcoming environment. Thank you so much."

I've used their service in my two pregnancies, and while sometimes they run a bit late, this doesn't particularly bother me because they seem to take their time with the scans. This last time particularly was a gender scan and my baby was very unhelpfully crossing the legs, so the sonographer was very patient and made me move and shake several times to make sure she got different views from the baby so she could confirm for sure the gender. I've not gone to my 20 week scan yet so I can't comment on the accuracy, but the sonographer was really nice and I feel she went above and beyond to give us a good experience. The receptionist at the time (he might have been the owner or a manager of some kind) was also lovely
