Visited Portland Hall today with my friend for Spa! I hade a truly lovely day. The staff were so welcoming, professional and respectful. A welcome drink and then treatments. I have visited many spar venues including Champneys, Formby Hall etc.I can honestly say I had the best massage and facial ever! Thank you Dimitri!! Then a relax and a tasty tapas lunch. Couldn’t ask for more! Thank you and “we’ll be back” Christine and Sandra

Absolutely beautiful day at bargain price! £89 for 2 treatments, tapas and welcome drink. Treatments were done so professionally and felt amazing! I had the hair elixir done and wow, my hair feels so silky smooth afterwards. We upgraded to use the spa pool for £55 and were so glad we did. This was such a lovely addition to our day. So private and romantic.

Shared a midweek spa deal with my friend. Great value for money. Graze board , glass of wine followed by back massage and facial. Would go again. Beautiful surroundings. Treatment room was a bit too bright for me but other than that lovely to experience.

I wouldn't recommend that anyone buy a gift voucher from this place. I paid for the voucher via PayPal via their website. I received a email receipt from PayPal but nothing showed on my PayPal statement. I put the receipt number into PayPal and it was not recognised but the money was taken from my credit card. This came to light when I tried to redeem the voucher and they told me it had expired (no expiration dates on the voucher they sent) For another £60 they will extend the time of the voucher. I feel some sort of scam going on here.

My daughter and I attended for a massage and facial followed by tapas and champagne. We had an early appointment and was greeted warmly. We were offered a drink whilst we filled in our forms, then led to the lounge where we were collected for our treatments. The staff were friendly and explained everything clearly. We added a few additional tapas dishes and hot stones to the package, but there was no pressure to do so. We enjoyed our time there and would go back. Thank you.

When I visited the spa we overheard the receptionist bad mouthing us and cracking jokes because we where too late for our afternoon tea, which wasn’t a problem as long as we received our treatments, this made me feel so uncomfortable going forward for a “relaxing experience” - the mud bath isn’t a real mud bath either so was disappointed by that. Overall the rude staff ruined my birthday experience.

Was a fabulous few hours, massage back neck shoulder was amazing, facial was fabulous too with different sensations cold and warm very relaxing and didn't affect my sensitive skin and had scalp massage and hair treatment. Followed by tapas lunch which was gorgeous had a really good time. All staff were welcoming and very professional. Highly recommended by me

Im not one for reviews but This place is beyond a joke. All the colleagues are very rude and unprofessional. Makes you feel uncomfortable nothing relaxing at all. The place is dirty and I can understand the negative reviews. The receptionist are very childish and unprofessional. Speaking from experience you can get better please avoid with a passion and enjoy your relaxation somewhere else

I don't often write negative reviews about places I visit as I am not the complaining type, but I urge you to please read some of the reviews before you decide to visit this 'spa'.Whilst we did enjoy the treatments we received here, ie: back & shoulder massage, facial etc, there were some negative issues with our visit too. Firstly the staff were quite disorganised and some (not all) were quite rude. After changing into some quite worn out looking robes we were asked to sit and wait in a lounge area, we waited there for approximately an hour! wondering what was going on before we were led upstairs through a very dark passage into a small room with massage beds for our treatments, which all in all were quite good and staff were professional and friendly. They advertise mud bath, but in reality when you get there you are informed it is a mud wrap. They advertise spa pool, when in reality it's just a large jacuzzi, although you do get to use it privately in your alloted time. There is only 1 toilet for use for all customers so a queue can form quickly. The 3 course meal... I really cannot recommend at all, just don't waste your money, they charge far too much for the rubbish they serve and couldn't even get the order right either. Any complaints are met with toddler like tantrums from the receptionist and the manager and lead nowhere, impossible to get even an apology for the poor service. The building itself is tired looking and in need of being updated throughout, although staff say they're having work done this doesn't seem to be the case, in reality it is an old sacred ritual synagogue they now use to scam people into a 'spa day' with many hidden costs attached. I recommend you take your custom elsewhere as there are much better places to spend your money.
