I go to this pet shop regularly and if I’m honest all the times I’ve been it’s been absolutely fabulous. However just recently I visited the shop in hopes to receive some advice on what food was best for my pet Percy the parrot. However, whatever food they recommended was NOT what I was looking for. It must have had some sort LAXATIVE in it because my parrot has had severe diarrhoea and it is all over my house!! I can not get the stains off of my walls it’s completely ruined my new curtains I’m devastated.

Our go to pet shop for everything we need for our animals, always met with super friendly staff!Today I went to buy some bits for a collection for an animal rescue centre and when I was asked if I needed help and I explained what I was doing, the very kind lady working there went and got some bits from the back and gave me so many things for the collection. So kind, thank you so so much!!

Had known for a while we wanted a bird we felt we would know the bird right for us. It's a welcoming store with a wealth of knowledge of all the animals there. We were able to go to the bird room and handle the bird we had chosen.We were given lots of information on how to look after our ,Buddy" and they had in stock everything we needed to bring him home.All the pets were well cared for and clean cages. Everything you want from a pet store."

Highly recommend. I travelled from Darlington on a recommendation and it was worth it. Our little Quaker Parrot has been home a few days now. He is an absolute delight. The communication from Chris via email and phone beforehand was brilliant. The staff on the day couldn’t do enough to help, went above and beyond. It’s clear to see how well looked after and loved the animals and birds are by the staff. The staff show empathy, care and give sound advice. Thank you so much. Hedwig is very happy and settled at home, he loves my 9yr old and spends lots of time snuggling onto him. Would absolutely visit again

Thank you so much for your help today.The staff at Adlington’s were incredibly receptive and welcoming - providing us with plenty of advice and guidance, and spent ample time preparing us for the arrival of our new family members!I came home today with two beautiful pet rats, and all the equipment and knowledge I need to keep them healthy and happy.Highly recommend this small-town shop, with well-bred and handled animals, experienced and knowledgeable staff, and high-quality equipment.
