National Trust Kettlewell Car Park
Lodore Falls: cross the road, and follow the road on the shaded path. Go past Mary's pub, and you'll hit a wooden gate before Lodore spa/Lodore hotel.There's not too many parking spaces (about 20), and we were lucky to find one on a Tuesday at 5pm.Free for National Trust members, just scan your card at the pay and display machine.Next to lake Derwent to have a dip/swim too.

Fancy putting a height restriction barrier on a carpark that people use to go kayaking. There are other carparks that are only a 5 min walk to the shore"... 5 mins wearing a 15ft kayak as a hat? Just open the gates

Wonderful place, and great to boat launch to the lake. It's unfortunate a height barrier has been put in, due to camper vans. So, if you are carrying any boat on the roof of your car, you will have to take the boats out at the side of the road before you pass the barrier.

Car park is very small, but thankfully we managed to stay here for about half and hour with people enjoying water sports and the views.Nice area for picnics

National Trust Kettlewell Car Park
Used to be a really nice place to park and look at the wild life etc.Unfortunately it now has a height restriction of 1.9 MNoticed a padlock on it with a code to open and be able to adjust the height which is probably given to the local kayaking company etc.I will be cancelling my National Trust membership as this was one of my favourite spots.

The Lake District, known for its lakes. The car park, apparently now preventing vehicles over 1.9m, ie the type likely to have equipment to use on the lakes.Interesting combination

A lovely place to park up for walks around the area or water sports on the water. Relatively small car park.Free for National Trust members.

Easy little spot to find that gives you some amazing views of the lake just a few minutes out from Keswick centre. We stopped by on the way back from our hike to Scafell Pike and managed the catch the sunset which was absolutely stunning. It was a nice little spot to soak our tired and aching feet from the 12mile walk we had just completed.
