The Shakespeare
Well, where do I begin? The Shakespeare has become a go to for many years for myself and my very well behaved group of friends. We’re greeted with cheers and elation as we step through them doors, we have our favourite ale and incredibly low prices being poured before we ask, the service is impeccable. As we join the party by adding more classics to the jukebox playlist, we reconvene at the pool table where we play civilised games of pool at 50p a play.A bit warm inside? Let me take you on a journey outside where’s there’s an array of outside seating with access to a TV so you never miss a moment.Bit cold? Let’s head back inside to the lounge, an area designed for comfort and class, an area where you can sit in style and drink your favourite beers.Ultimately what I’m trying to say is, god bless the Shakespeare.

The greatest boozer on the planet.I once walked in and Kate Beckinsale was laying naked on the bar asking what I wanted, whilst in shock from that I heard the dulcet tones of Ed Sheeran from the pool table area, where I found him lecturing younger chaps on how to conduct themselves, whilst walking to the immaculately maintained men's toilets I bumped into some fellow Lincoln City fans, after a welcome from them I poured twenty jaegers down my neck, watched a load of lads sing lewis capaldi, topless, before sinking Carling dark fruits cider, spilling it all over my jacket and going home a happy man.God Bless The Shakey.

Decent little pub, great pool table too. Staff are great and friendly and during the current restrictions the table service is spot on too. Good prices for drinks which I wasn't expecting really I thought it would of been an expensive place to drink. Plenty tvs to watch sport and a good little outdoor area at the back which is a little sun trap, nice and peaceful place to sit with a paper and a decent pint to enjoy the sun. Clean and tidy and some brilliant drinks such as baby Guinness which I love since finding out about them when I was in tennerife a few years ago. Defo recommend it.

Went there with my friends female bartender was very unfriendly and abbrupt was greeted with “what are yous doing here” from the owner of the pub. Some of my friends wanted drinks and two of the others didn’t because they don’t drink and they got told to leave and they couldn’t stay with us because “it’s not a waiting room”. This place needs closing down or new staff.
