It's a lovely walk, you can stop off to look at the black house, the family circle and the dam. It winds it's way through the forest with a mixture of trees and lots of bird life. Well worth the visit. We saw a moth with it's eggs on a waymarker

The best National Foresty walk I've ever done! lengthy walks with points of interest along the way such as; the old farmhouse and beautiful viewpoint to embrace. Always giving your brain a mix of appetizers along the way.

Visiting Allen's Forest in May was a delightful experience! The three trails available were perfect for exploring the area. We completed all three trails with our 3-year-old and two dogs, and it was a family-friendly adventure. The scenery was simply breathtaking, with lush greenery and picturesque landscapes at every turn. Along the trails, we also came across some intriguing old buildings, which added a touch of history to the journey. Overall, it was a fantastic outdoor escape with a blend of nature and fascinating landmarks to discover. Highly recommended for families and nature enthusiasts!
