Incredibly friendly and quick service! They‘ve got all the parts and tools on site and fixed my bike within 5 minutes! There’s a lovely little cafe inside as well and everyone‘s so friendly. Highly recommend!

My brake cable came loose while I was just around the corner so I popped up to Gamma for some help—so glad I did! A lovely store and owner who helped me free of charge. Also a really nice place to stop for a hot drink and check out the wares. Thanks again!

Gamma are one of just 2 shops in Edinburgh I'd entrust a bike to. Quality staff, high attention to detail and a genuine interest in providing a great environment.I had a bike (not one pictured) set up with a brake bleed, mount face, chain fit and gear set up - helping me out with little notice in what's a busy workshop. Thanks to the team in the service area the bike was ready quickly and finished to a high standard. 100% will be using Gamma when I need work done. Also ... Coffee is excellent as are the tunes.

Short version: These guys were angels sent from haven, went out of their way to assist us, and got the job done in no time! I can nothing but highly recommend their professional and prompt service, all delivered with a smile and compassion!Long version: With my old steed’s seat post breaking during our 3-hour train journey stopover, our Inverness to Edinburgh bike tour could have taken a nightmarish start. Newbies to the city, we didn’t quite know which bike shop to go to, and the closest one turned out to be one of these snazzy sell-only-but-don’t-repair bike shops. Luckily the sales staff there admitted that their workshop wasn’t quite equipped for this kind of work and recommended Gamma! When we walked into Gamma, these guys wasted no time and got onto it straight away. After initial unsuccessful attempts to remove the remaining part of the seat post that was seized inside the seat tube, they ingeniously tapped a thread into it (I’ve never even seen such a size tapping tool before!) and with a combined effort got it out! That was one hurdle overcome surprisingly swiftly! Next challenge was my (German bike’s) oddly sized diameter seat post which doesn’t seem common in the UK. Lucky Gamma happen to have an old MTB in the store with a matching seat post, so they kindly decided to fit my steed with that one, all sorted! They also went out of their way and stayed beyond their normal operating hours to fix my girlfriend’s panniers rattling and faulty dynamo wiring. On top of that, they brew top notch coffee, too! Thanks again Gamma, you rock!

Visited Gamma in a desperate situation, racing in UCI Gran Fondo World Championships the next day and my SRAM rear mech had failed.Gavin was just brilliant, finding the spare part (probably the last in Edinburgh) and taking time to properly set the gears up.I didn't win, but wouldn't have even competed without the wonderful service at Gamma.

Had an issue with my rear derailleur for my DI2, phoned in on Thursday and Gavin very kindly said to just bring it in when I was next nearby. I was fortunate in that the repair was a fast one which Gavin was able to repair immediately when I dropped the bike off.Gavin has great product knowledge and after asking him about various upgrades on my bike. He gave fair and accurate advice without attempting to lose me with technical information!Genuinely nice guy and clearly an expert in his craft!

What a fantastic bike shop tucked away. Gavin did me a solid and charged my Di2 as I was visiting Edinburgh. Makes a mean coffee too. Strong product collections with the likes of wahoo gear and Quoc shoes to name a few. And if you just want to ogle at the builds he’s working in, that’s worth a visit in itself!

Brilliant bike shop, exactly as they should be. Warm and welcoming, great coffee, and happy to help however they can (even managed to find me a spare bolt for a suspect SPD cleat as I was about to set off on a 500km ride). Would be here every weekend for a chat and coffee if I lived in Edinburgh.

Fantastic quick service on my new gravel bike to tidy up a few issues, following years of consistently great service for my road bike. Really cool decor and great coffee too. Cheers Gavin!

I’ve left my beloved bike(s) in Gav and co.’s hands multiple times now. I have never been any less than totally satisfied with the service, turn-around time and attention to detail at Gamma. Moreover, Gav’s depth of expertise and generosity with his time and advice makes Gamma a really special bike shop. Also, the coffee is superb. For anything bike-related (be it a repair, new project or tweak) I would not go anywhere else.
