We stopped by on a Thursday tea time to stock up on our supplies of Dean's Shortbread. Having read the previous reviews we were very concerned about the welcome we were to receive. My wife has a sensitive temperament and does not cope well with conflict - and so we were quite surprised to find that the young lady in the shop was quite friendly. We enquired about the shortbread and conducted a thorough search of the shop finding a marvelous selection of chocolate orange waffles - and some shortcake - but no shortbread (Dean's or no). The young lady carefully explained where we could buy shortbread at a craft shop up the road. We left feeling crestfallen but optimistic about the next stage of our search. We would recommend this service station to anyone travelling east (or west) and suggest no regard be made to the reviews suggesting the owners are sour or unfriendly in any way.

The lady who was serving on the day we visited (end of September) made custom feel extreamely unwelcome despite being open. She had a rude attitude towards paying customers pulling immature, hostile faces as a response to politely asked questions and enquiries into facilities and Covid policies. This really wasn't okay, I've never been treated like this in a shop before. I couldn't even bring myself to stay she was that almost... Hateful? So strange and unkind.

Great service and reasonable fuel prices in a remote spot. A very well stocked store with everything from inflatable paddling pools to whisky! Microwave for heating snacks, and a very welcoming and helpful lady behind the counter. A welcome spot on a long journey, and obviously a blessing for the local community as well.

Great petrol station with friendly helpful staff. A good selection of everything including bits for motoring like fuses, bulbs, jump leads. Also has an air pump for your tyres.

Use this garage a lot whilst in the area, and in the main, I am very pleased with the service I receive. The forecourt can be a little tight if a number of other users are in attendance and care is often required for entry/exit due to the rushing traffic on the A87. It has a convenience shop as part of the garage which holds most things you may need, and a number of other items to support the holidaymaker, therby giving you the opportunity to get a limited weekly shop if need be. Over time I have grown to like it here, and therefore recommend the service it provides.

Nice lady behind the counter. Concerning where it is, it is quite reasonable.
